Age appropriateness? My mother told me she knew I was gay by the age of 4... Did I really choose that early. I surely don't remember doing so. I grew up in 60s and 70s KY... nobody ever explained 'gayness' to me. There are differences in brain architecture between gays, trans, and straights visible on MRI and PET scans. Part of the conservative madness is their ability to deny that anything they disapprove of has any legitimacy or relevance.
What you have here are parents who sure as hell seem to be afraid of their own children, of their maturity and their desire to understand exactly who it is that they are. As I suggested elsewhere, the kids are behaving better than those who are supposed to be their help and guidance.
They're also afraid of 𝗦𝗘𝗫. My own parents barely scratched the surface with the Baby Boomer typing here, and one would HOPE that the sexual revolution would have done at least a little bit to take the shame and the hesitance out of the topic.
Yet it's 70+ years later, and apparently, sex discussions are still a problem. It's like we've gone NOWHERE in all that time.

Yet they allowed Fellowship of Christian Athletes. If anything, religious divisive groups like that should be banned. If they fear that a teacher is a groomer for sponsoring a club for kids, but ignore what is happening in churches, youth sports and online on TikTok and Roblox then they are a special kind of stupid.
Congratulations to those students/tweens/young adults for standing strong and knowing their rights !!! I would love to read about the whole student body having enough courage to put their names on the club registry in support !! It was clearly the supposed adults “in the room” who lacked maturity.
I would not be surprised if the kids have to restart the application process, and I would also bet that the district will try to go around any protections the kids have by dragging out the approval for at least the remainder of the school year. Possibly a summer reassignment of the faculty sponsor so the club has to start again after that.
But after the midterms, yet still too soon for new-majority Dems to have the needed time to act effectively, there might be hundreds of thousands (or millions) of deaths of innocent, mostly elderly Americans, and for no "cause" beyond Trump thinking they should be putting more money into Trump's pockets.
And Trump's only "cure" for elder poverty is death. (And not even the Soylent Green variety...)

UnitedHealth doesn't want to pay. (Imagine that!) So they are making ridiculous demands that no medical professional would ever agree to. (They demand that my mid-20ish Nurse Practitioner (that I've only seen twice, but never for the hand) accepts full responsibility for authorizing the surgery...by an orthopedic surgeon that I am ALREADY an established patient of! All because they think I may be too old for them to recoup these surgical expenses on, so the purpose(sic) of all of this is simply evil and cruelty. None of it makes a trace of sense, but now ALL American decisions on health care (on any level) are made by billionaires mostly concerned that their NEXT yacht is nicer than all their previous ones, warehoused all over the world (for convenience.)
I just heard today that UnitedHealth is dropping one (red?) state entirely, and 109 separate (red?) counties. (That's over 1M customers left high and dry.) And since I don't wish to poke the bear, I'll just start saving up to pay out of pocket instead. I doubt it will be long until $10K-ish sounds minimal in the context of literal life or death. (I'd guess that I'm still safer than many millions of Americans, and I'd guess that the majority of the world would still trade even with me, sight unseen, just to sleep in a dry bed.)

Awww. I had it the worst in middle school when I refused to make-out with some popular guy and he told everyone I was lesbian to get back at me. Back then, a lesbian was the absolute worst thing! 😂
I'm almost 70, and a recent widow at the church I sometimes attend did that same thing recently because I didn't express interest. (I'm not gay, just tired.)
(I think it's OK to be judgemental in church if you "pray" about it afterward.)

He was out to get me throughout high-school as well (although I cared less by then) and even called me years later while I was in college to apologize for his awful behavior. Wild he still believed I ever thought about him or cared 😅
So according to this school board, learning how to kill animals just for existing is age appropriate, but discussing your feelings is not.

I'm reminded of the now-adults who were students at schools that got shot up by crazy people who went on, while still quite young, to be national leaders in the movement to infuse some sanity into our gun laws. Perhaps some of these kids from King George will also turn into the same kind of leaders; they sure showed their mettle, dedication, and organizational skills in this one.
