I'm not gonna listen to the album, because Christian music just ain't my thing, but...
๐๐ข๐ฎ๐ฏ, girl!
Now, moderate and progressive Christians, I want you to take notes. Pay attention. ๐๐ฉ๐ช๐ด ๐ธ๐ช๐ญ๐ญ ๐ฃ๐ฆ ๐ฐ๐ฏ ๐ต๐ฉ๐ฆ ๐ต๐ฆ๐ด๐ต:
๐๐ฉ๐ช๐ด is the kind of thing we want to see more of from you. This is ๐ฆ๐น๐ข๐ค๐ต๐ญ๐บ the energy we want you to carry with you to the ballot box on election day, when you'll be voting for whether or not the performer you just showed so much love for is allowed to keep performing- or to keep existing. If you can vote for an album to show your support for a Queen, but don't follow through by voting for a politician who's going to protect her rights, then this was a meaningless gesture.
All you have to do is remember what made you press ๐ต๐ฉ๐ช๐ด button when it comes time to press ๐ต๐ฉ๐ข๐ต button.
They won't though. As reprehensible as feucht is, he says out loud what christians actually think.
Whether they admit it or not, progressive christians know they need evangelicals in power to do the wetwork required to keep their self-righteous hate cult in it's comfy position of dominance.
They'll never risk losing that power They just pay lip service to democracy and humanity so they don't get hit with the stigma. And they don't have the guts to be honest about what they are. That, and they don't want to get off their asses and do the dirty work themselves.
I disagree. I think most mainstream/progressive Christians don't desire dominance. Instead they want separation of Church and State. Scopes, Kitzmiller, Schempp (both the dad and kid), Epperson, one of the Engel plaintiffs...all Christians. Practically all of our church-state separation case law is based on Christian and Jewish plaintiffs bringing suits against Christian dominionists. Everyone likes to mention O'Hare's contribution in getting prayer out of schools, but that was the exception, not the rule.
As Joan says, it's a matter of activism/energy, not specifically belief in Jesus. The conservative Christians are louder and put more effort into politics, legislation, publicity etc. than the liberal Christians.
If that was the case, bigotry wouldn't be Christianity's core tenet.
And the fact that the fuckers can't be fucking bothered to actually do anything about their fascist brothers and sisters in Christ, and instead spend all their time No True Scotsman-ing anyone who DARES level the most basic and gentle criticism of Christianity says everything.
There are Christians who actually care and try to pump the brakes, but in the US? They don't even break triple digits. They might If you include the entire continent, but in the US I doubt there's more than three dozen.
Attempting to sort out who was, or was not, a TRUE Christian has spilled enough blood to float the Navy. I simply cannot deal with these people any more.
Well, despite my feelings about country music in general, it does seem to be a well made album from what I could hear. Congrats to Flamy Grant for breaking new ground on this one!
Feucht's opinion isn't nearly as relevant as he'd like to think, and that's good news for everyone. I'm just hoping that this means more Christians are willing to take a peek outside their bubble sometimes. The bubble is, after all, a very limiting and lonely place to be, it'd be nice for folks to join the rest of us sometime soon.
Feucht means damp or moist. I'm sure feucht was getting feucht over, and the very thought of all of that feuchting with a drag queen was getting him very feucht indeed.
Heh, tremendous. How many heads are exploding right now? It must be like the Fourth of July. Hopefully this will open some eyes, not everyone will react with 'drag queens can't be Christian', maybe it will make a couple people think. That would be nice.
I really dislike neighbors who donโt consider their neighbors when playing music late at night.
Tonight is our townโs little summer festival and my hubs is doing concessions for tonightโs concert. We live very close to the park and we listen to the music in our beds every year. Knowing itโs a regular thing makes it easier to deal with.
This is why my husband insists we live on a rural highway 15 miles out of town. Yes, it's quiet at night, and we can actually see stars after the sun goes down, but I've never liked commuting to work.
I know, I know, First World Problems and all that.
I want to see the stars maybe 3 times a year. I want food delivery 3 or 4 times a month. Grocery delivery 5 or 6 times and french fries at midnight when I want them.
I'm not gonna listen to the album, because Christian music just ain't my thing, but...

Not my thing either but the Drag Queen video was impressive. Kudos to the make up artist who was working while Webb was singing.

It's easy to tell. The Troo Krischun is the one who is ๐ซ๐ถ๐ด๐ต ๐ญ๐ช๐ฌ๐ฆ ๐ฎ๐ฆ.
Your evil twin.
My twin
My twin
My twin
I know he looks like me

You notice how Fucked is blowing a gasket over this, but when it comes to Christian clergy molesting children he doesn't utter a peep.
People like Feuct never understand the Streisand effect.
Dammit, you beat me to it.
Letโs get this song to drown out the other country song getting attention right now.
So much hatred comes out of Sean Feucht
That daily it has to be trucked.
He thinks that his ways
Will win him great praise,
But history will say that he sucked.
Strictly speaking, it is pronounced foiked. And the first line should have only 8 syllables. Allow me!
So much hatred comes from Feucht Sean.
Who knows what bad drugs he is on.
He thinks that his ways
Will win him great praise.
History will call him a con.
You're welcome.
Hey Moe! This guy is foiked! Nyuck nyuck nyuck.
Nyuck indeed!
Foiked? Close enough for government work. ๐
Strictly speaking foi ch t-- the ch being prnounced as in Chanukah.
Instead of calling him Fucked, I should go with "Farkakte." That's Yiddish for "covered in shit."
Seems fitting. ๐
That's not shit. That's his fake rock star leather jacket.
That Sean is one really Feucht-up critter.
We need better mental health care in our nation.
We need to be teaching critical thinking starting in kindergarten. OT, wtf do we use one seemingly random German word for one grade? It's weird to me.
Because Zeroth Grader just doesn't roll off the tongue as well?
It's weird, kid. Weird.
Won't lie, senior year of high school might've been marginally less intolerable if they'd just been honest and called it 13th Grade.
Edgy. Nice. Teenage me would've loved it. Heh. Although teenage me had dropped out and was working full time by that point, but still.
You are right. Now you will use "รฉcole maternelle".
Well, despite my feelings about country music in general, it does seem to be a well made album from what I could hear. Congrats to Flamy Grant for breaking new ground on this one!

Oh, this is all pretty fabulous.
Adding Flamy Grant to the very short list of Christians with a public platform who actually try to live their beliefs to the betterment of humanity.
Weird Al and Dolly Parton are Christians. So is Jimmy Carter.
And richard dawkins is an anti trans atheist. It's not a black and white situation.
There's good and bad in everyone. Just ask Stevie Wonder and Paul McCartney.
Sorry, I am a narrow minded bigot when minorities right are threatened or denied.
That's better than being the narrow minded bigot like Dawkins.
Howโs that taste Feucht? Looks like you find it pretty bitter to me.
On the one hand: As many have said "Aint no hate like christian love."
On the other hand: There ARE christians who are NOT full of hate.
On the gripping hand: Gotta love the Streisand Effect!!!
Feucht means damp or moist. I'm sure feucht was getting feucht over, and the very thought of all of that feuchting with a drag queen was getting him very feucht indeed.
Have a towlette, pastor.

OT : I am not the only one who can't sleep. Someone is listening AC/DC songs in the street :)
"Let There Be Rock"
Let there be double glazing and hush glass.
"Rock and Roll Ain't Noise Pollution"
Hip Hop is and that seems to be more common where I am.
Blaring from personal stereos tucked in backpacks. Blaring from car speakers.
Vibrating my sternum from two lanes away.
Useless when the window is open ๐
"Night Prowler?" "You Shook Me All Night Long?"
I recognised Back in Black. At first I didn't hear well and thought it was guns and roses ๐คข
No more music, they seem to have gone to bed :(

When you want to see stars can't you just whack yourself on the head? It works for Elmer Fudd and Sylvester Q. Pussycat..
That's Puttytat.
The resulting migraine turns them into laser beams to the retina and the nausea is overwhelming.
I wouldn't be able to stand it. I grew up with motor noises as lullaby.
Did you say First World Problems?

How do you listen to electricity? ๐
Avec un cornet acoustique. Question suivante.
There aren't any AC/DC songs with horns. I know of one with bagpipes, but bagpipes aren't horns, they are a bag of trapped cats.
Ok. You just volunteered for a lesson of French ๐
Cornet accoustique https://images.app.goo.gl/DrYFa5ctvW5RnmR19
Carnyx https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dUTtkEypYcI
And because I love you La bombarde Bretonne https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=r3sIyTOymoA&pp=ygUIYm9tYmFyZGU%3D
I used the translate function in my browser to find out what cornet acoustique meant, so was just having some fun with you.
Here's a dwarf from "The Hobbit" using his to show what he thinks of elvish music https://youtu.be/UC2qSK3W2jc?t=60
That Carnyx is also useful as a weapon.
Do you know why the Irish dance with their arms at their sides? It makes it harder to start fights in the middle of the dance.
I love Gandalf's face "Why the Hell I brought them here ?".
"These truly are the last days."
Sorry, O Fucked One. The last days came and went back in the 70s. The Osmonds even wrote a heavy metal song about it (Yes. Those Osmonds)

Jesus Christ! That's dire.

I was about to joke that Chekov would say it's Russian and it's actually a Russian song https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Those_Were_the_Days_(song)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WwOgXWOX-iE
Paul McCartney wrote her follow-up hit "Goodbye."
The Osmonds in leather is just wrong.
(Marie could pull it off.)
The man has a point.
