I was a conservative, fundamentalist Evangelical for the first 19 of my working years. Not once was I ever fired for being a Christian.

I was being paid by my employer to do a job. I agreed to do that job. Doing a job required showing basic human respect and decency to coworkers and clients. It did not require me to insult LGBTQ coworkers. It expected me to be a goddamned adult, keep my controversial opinions to myself, and work with everyone regardless of religion, orientation, gender identity, race, ethnicity, etc. to ensure that clients were happy and the company was successful. It required me to make sure my subordinates felt valued and respected.
So that's what I did. And it was remarkably easy to do so. I just treated other people the way I wanted to be treated. Funny how that works.
Of course, once I treated folks like I wanted to be treated, I became friends with a gay coworker, discovered that they weren't god-hating abominations like I'd been taught and that started my process of deconverting away from being an Evangelical fundamentalist asshole, so I'm sure these types of fundie Christians are deathly afraid of that.

Great analogy. Internet trolls are usually highly narcissistic and seek out their source of narcissistic supply like a drug. They're addicted to it whether it's bullying others to feel superior or retreating to their echo chamber for a constant source of ego reinforcement. Best thing to do is just ignore them. Because they cherry-pick. Because the "love your neighbor" injunction isn't real. Because their "neighbor" is only one of their ideological tribe and nobody else. Yadda. Being a devout xtian allows them to use all these excuses and more.

As a Christian, I find it unbelievable that people would treat me disrespectfully when I am treating other disrespectfully. Don't they know what Jesus said, "Let me do onto others, but don't do it to me."

I was a conservative, fundamentalist Evangelical for the first 19 of my working years. Not once was I ever fired for being a Christian.
Do you know why?
Because I wasn't an unprofessional asshole.
I was being paid by my employer to do a job. I agreed to do that job. Doing a job required showing basic human respect and decency to coworkers and clients. It did not require me to insult LGBTQ coworkers. It expected me to be a goddamned adult, keep my controversial opinions to myself, and work with everyone regardless of religion, orientation, gender identity, race, ethnicity, etc. to ensure that clients were happy and the company was successful. It required me to make sure my subordinates felt valued and respected.
So that's what I did. And it was remarkably easy to do so. I just treated other people the way I wanted to be treated. Funny how that works.
Of course, once I treated folks like I wanted to be treated, I became friends with a gay coworker, discovered that they weren't god-hating abominations like I'd been taught and that started my process of deconverting away from being an Evangelical fundamentalist asshole, so I'm sure these types of fundie Christians are deathly afraid of that.
