Christian Mom: Hilton Ad Promotes “Perversion” By Showing Gay Men with a Child
Imagine getting this angry over an ad this harmless.

Monica Cole, the one mom at Christian hate group One Million Moms (Twitter count: 4,111), is very angry with the hotel chain Hilton for featuring a same-sex couple (with a child!) in a short ad.
The 15-second commercial which first premiered in September highlights the Hilton App, which allows guests to open the door to their rooms using their phones. No noise. No searching for a key card. And, in this case, no need to wake up an adorable sleeping toddler.
The Christian group is now lashing out at Hilton for promoting something that violates everything they stand for: love.
Hilton’s current commercial “Make an Entrance with the Hilton App” attempts to normalize sin by featuring two men together with a young boy. The two dads are shown walking through the hotel lobby and to their room while one dad carries the sleeping toddler. This ad is inappropriate on so many levels and is clearly attempting to desensitize viewers. Hilton should avoid aiming to please a small percentage of customers while pushing away conservative customers.
Promoting same sex relationships has nothing to do with marketing their company. Yet Hilton wants to make it clear where they stand on this controversial topic, instead of remaining neutral in the culture war. One Million Moms continues to stand up for biblical truth, which is very clear in Romans 1:26-27 about this particular type of sexual perversion.
One Million Moms must remain diligent. Scripture says multiple times that homosexuality is wrong, and God will not tolerate this sinful nature.
Hilton attempting to redefine the family crosses a line Hilton should have never crossed. There is concern about the way this advertisement is pushing the LGBTQ agenda, but an even greater concern is that the commercial is airing when children are likely to be watching television. To make matters worse, this advertisement has aired during family viewing time such as football games and primetime.
I’ve said this before, but Cole’s idea of “remaining neutral” means erasing the very existence of LGBTQ people. That’s not neutral. That’s bigotry. I’ve seen plenty of similar commercials with a husband and wife and I never saw it as promoting straightness. Cole and the Christians like her can’t see a gay couple without assuming there’s some larger agenda at work.
The problem isn’t the ad. It’s them.
Also, Cole cites Romans 1:27, which says “Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.” What’s that penalty? Cole doesn’t say — perhaps because the Bible makes clear the penalty for men who have sex with other men is execution.
Cole is okay with the idea of government authorities executing gay people.
Cole is not okay with a 15-second ad showing a same-sex couple walking quietly into a hotel room with their luggage and child.
That’s what Christianity taught her: That the mere existence of a gay couple implies sex, which she believes should result in the death penalty.
She asks followers to sign a petition denouncing Hilton over its “social agenda to push the gay lifestyle and redefine family.” Which, honestly, is telling on herself because watching that ad will not turn anyone gay. That’s not how gay works. If your personal life is threatened by the happiness of two men you’ve never met before, you need therapy, not a petition.
(Large portions of this article were published earlier, because Cole hasn’t had a new idea in several years.)
"To make matters worse, this advertisement has aired during family viewing time such as football ... "
That's right! This commercial is so distracting from this manly sport! How will anyone be able to focus on these beefcakes bending over in front of each other in spandex tights and playing with their balls once they see this ad?
Hey Monica!
The only sexual perversion on display here is yours. A prurient obsession with catching other people "sinning".
