Officials in Maricopa County this week released a detailed rebuttal of the claims the Cyber Ninjas made casting doubt on the validity of ballots. After assessing the Cyber Ninjas' findings, county officials concluded that 76 of their 77 claims were false or misleading.

Meantime, a judge in Arizona's Maricopa County Thursday held the company in contempt and ordered it to pay $50,000 per day in sanctions for failing to provide records related to the so-called audit to the Arizona Republic, according to a report in the Republic.

So glad the judge is doing this.

The judge was asked to fine 'em $1000 per day. Judge said "think bigger, bitches." 😁

----------------------------

The $50,000 daily fine imposed by Maricopa County Superior Court Judge John Hannah far exceeds the $1,000 levy suggested by a lawyer for The Arizona Republic newspaper, which filed the public records lawsuit in 2020. Hannah said the lower amount would be "grossly insufficient" to coerce Cyber Ninjas to comply with his orders.

Nice to get the rest of the story about Auntie Patheos- sounds like they wanted to turn the Atheist channel into Stepford, enforced toothy smile policy and all.

Then again, between the channel getting renamed and the rise of the Nannybot, I guess the writing was on the wall. Glad you guys walked out instead of letting your blogs get co-opted to stroke the goddies egos. Hopefully the rest of the network follows suit; it'd be pretty funny if the whole mess just collapsed because a bunch of puritans couldn't handle a little criticism.

Everyone bows to Christian outrage, but what we all should be doing is countering with decent people outrage. Why are we always tip toeing around bigots’ feelings. They don’t get to have a seat at the table, not when they don’t recognize the other people at the table are people. Fuck them.

PUT THE STATUE BACK UP!!!!!

It may be a coincidence that so many of the things that Christians get outraged about are completely awesome... but it's easier just to leap to the conclusion that they hate fun than it is to analyze every single one of the many, many things that make them shit themselves. Christians hate fun. They're the fun police. We can't have nice things because Christians are the fun police.

*sigh*

Wasn't there that saying that being a Christian is to be always horrified that someone, somewhere, might have fun?

Occam’s Razor.

Also, they get really REALLY jealous when others get things that are more fun than theirs.

They literally canceled someone's culture, and the UN rolled over and let them.

I knew the UN has been defanged and impotent for decades now, I just didn't realize how bad it was....

Does anyone around here have any idea how to start a petition to the U.N.? Seriously, that sculpture is a beautiful piece of art, and there is no rational reason to remove it because some nuts got their knickers in a twist.

Why would Lucifer murder any of them? They will arrive on his doorstep soon enough anyway.

Wait, didn't they claim that it was actually OBAMA who launched the war on Iraq?

Dammit, if I can have a spreadsheet, please? It's so hard to keep all their lies straight.

Regarding the Girl Defined strawman attack on feminism I wrote a bit on Facebook about the idea that Christians need to be taught to love their husbands and children whereas feminists have abortions.

My husband is my husband because I love him, I didn’t need anyone to teach me to do it. The reason I had children is because I had more love to give. Both husband and children were purposely chosen by this feminist because I already loved them. If you have a husband and children because someone else (God) commanded it, then I could see a need to be taught to love them.

In addition to that I also want to point out that not every feminist has had an abortion and I would argue that the majority of them have children they love. However, feminists see the need for safe, accessible abortions and do not, or ought not to, judge the reasons for them.

The most telling part is that Christians need to be "taught to love".

Meanwhile, us atheists here are loving everyone who deserves it.

What It’s Like to Have a Committee Decide if You Can Get an Abortion

Getting an abortion in Israel made me realize what Americans are getting wrong.

Back in FA/Patheos times, I used to read Hemant's posts about Robin Bollocks, but never bothered to watch the accompanying videos. The screenshots kinda told me all I wanted to know about that guy. Although life has taught me no to judge people too quick, life has also taught me to trust my guts. So, today, TA DA!, I watched for the first time “real life” Robin Bollocks on video, and what can I say – I love my guts!

<this is for you, Robin, maybe sb. tells you> I used to think that you looked ridiculous and fake in that “whatever-you-think-that-look-is”. Now, after seeing you on video, I just pity you. And, I can't help it, I pity the people who fall for your unethical act. What a waste.
