Not a Republican on the list. A real shocker, I know. Republicans pander to the preachers and view human decency as a character flaw. Critical thinking is the worst possible sin in the eyes of most of these people.

Great minds think alike, but fools rarely differ.

Evidenced by the way the right keep parroting the same talking points as soon as the regime releases a new one. Most of the right wing influencers can’t even reword the thought, just video after video after video of mayonnaise colored morons repeating the exact text they were sent in an automated text message. “What if Bill Clinton’s is on the list? You libtards would defend him.” Over and over and over again.

Gotdamn they’re sheep and still pretend they’re geniuses.

It disgusts me to no end how every Republican in Congress is repeating the same talking points the moment they're handed a new one. The world's worst herd animals.

I think cring and compassion are even worse sins.

Sin is the cudgel used by religion to pound hatred into the hearts of its followers.

I've long felt Christianity to consist of roughly equal parts comfort myth and revenge fantasy. Critical thinking is a clear threat to both of them.

The Freethought Caucus needs to be an order of magnitude larger before the NSGOP will take them seriously. Why are there no Republicans? Because the NSGOP doesn't value freedom of thought. They want to make their ideology the only ideas allowed. They would like to have thought police, where you can be locked up for insufficient loyalty to der OrangeFührer.

This is the dream of many religions, not just xtianity. Nearly all clim tjhe "One TRUE TRUTH" nd ll others are heretics deserving pinful deaths. Jesus preached love, tolerance and acceptance. Yet they hate women, LGBTQ, Trans, POC & atheists.

ICE is supposedly going after gangs, yet they raided Hyundai plant under construction in GA. Now South Kore is saying the entire thing is in jeopardy. ICE avoids gangs because they know gang embers are usually armed and will shoot first. More of dumpy's finest chickens.

They will never go after gangs. Charlie Kirk seemed to think gang murders don't count. He was talking about that as he was shot. It seems to me they think it is a Democrat problem. Why do they never think about why gangs exist and what they could do to prevent them?

That would require an actual solution to a real problem, republicans don’t have solutions to real problems. That is why the republicans make up a simplistic problems so the republicans can use an even more simplistic solutions, and the average MAGAS think the problems are getting solved. Yet, that problem and the solution doesn’t have any actual impact on people’s lives. The so called war on Christmas is an example of a made up problem and solution, there are countless more but you get the idea.

To actual solve a problem, first you must understand the complexity and nuances of that problem (republicans don’t want to bother), then you come up with a nuanced and practical way to solve it, but that requires time, money, expertise which the republicans don’t have (nor the republicans want to acquire these things) or want to do.

I can't fault Sarah McBride for choosing other battles to fight. She does not have to be defined by her gender/sexuality. Nothing wrong with being a moderate Democrat.

Read an article on some right wing site, referred to her as trans, has nothing to do with the issue at hand. The sad thing is this will happen whatever she is involved with.

She has my respect for putting herself in the firing line.

"...reason-based public policy, keeping church and state separate, opposing discrimination against non-religious people, and championing freedom of thought around the world."

That's why there are no Republicans in the caucus. They are against all four of those.

McBride does in fact fight for trans rights and is widely credited with stiffening the ultimately successful Democratic resistance to excluding gender affirming care from Medicaid in the last budget bill.

It does seem like the right is trying to fight the fight at the bathroom level because that’s where their base is. But that isn’t where the fight needs to be and McBride might be savvy to that. The visible fight over bathrooms is a cover for the deeper fight she is working on. At least, that’s what I hope she’s doing.

It does seem like it’s really important not to give any ground, but if we’re focused on the bathrooms, the right is not worried about us fighting for the medical care. We can do two things at once, but to the right, it’s about keeping us swinging until we’re exhausted, then they go in for the kill. We need folks who are willing to fight the tougher battles behind the scenes as well as folks who can take on the constant little skirmishes over this bathroom or that one.

drumpfco has shown us what jesus is all about. Jesus hates every one, adores money and hates skin color & sexx.. If they could they would declare breathing a sin and demand a dollar for each breath cuz jeff bezos wants another 300 foot yacht. Hungry and cold? God hates you and loves Bezos. Yet each billionaire means thousands going hungry and cold. But gawd loves the rich kkkons.

Cuz kkkons know they can use religious superstition to cow the faithful using fear. Religion is one huge dictatorship that teaches people dictatorship is required to prevent sin. . No dictatorship, sin is rampant and imaginary satan wins.. This of course requires a belief in sin being real. Yet sin is just as imaginary as the gods and satan. Neurosis is building imaginary gods and ministers collect the rent every Sunday.

OT so the actual suspect in the shooting turned out to be a young, conservative, white man. Whoda thunk it?

Is this really the guy? You never know with the incompetence of the regime. But why would they frame a conservative for something they were trying to lay on the heads of liberals and blacks?

You'll pardon my saying so, but this is almost becoming a cliche. Democrats who care about diversity of opinions and positions support and participate in a Freethought Caucus. Republicans who are sold out to Trump, to Christian Nationalism, or BOTH, not only can't be bothered but may even think of the CFC as some kind of aberration.

And I may continue to think that way until the first congressperson with an (R) next to their name joins the Congressional Freethought Caucus.

OT Well somebody died who said there was no such thing as hate speech. Now a wave of people have been censored, sacked and forced to apologise for telling the truth.

Well the MAGATS got their martyr, but it is never enough.

Confession, this due to the fact I am not American and don't always follow the news. When I heard about the shooting, I thought it was Kirk Cameron and was confused when they said he was 31. I must have heard Charlie Kirk mentioned before, but he never made much impression on me. Hate filled MAGATS are ten a penny these days.
