And the dance just gets crazier and crazier. It would seem as though Chaz has managed to poke Broward County where it hurts ... repeatedly ... and, idiots that they are, they persist in their stupidity, only to get poked AGAIN.

Keep up the good work, Chaz. Your opponents are only getting what they deserve.

They love the self flagellation apparently.

That kind abuse gets them all off. The right wing seems to be full of sexual repressives or out and out perverts who can’t stand seeing an accepting civilization take hold. It scares them to death so it comes out sideways.

They do have a deep history of it in the christian religion.

Jesus died for Howard from Broward. Believe THAT.

Your donation link sends this message: "This organization can't accept donations right now." Have Trumpler and Muskolini and found a way to interfere with your donations? I'm sure theirs are working just fine.

You really like to punch where it hurts (the double standard). Just be careful, not because you are wrong, but because bigots are known to kill what and who they refuse to understand.

"Remember the ‘80s when conservatives were screaming about a Satanic Panic in schools?"

I asked DM once if she heard about the Satanic Panic. She didn't remember if she had but you can guess what she said when I explained it to her 🤣

I'm one of the few geeks of the '80's who never played Dungeons and Dragons. My mother was certain it was of the devil, and by the time I got old enough to be beyond that I was introduced to crack on a card (Magic: the Gathering) and never went backwards to D&D.

Never really liked games.

It was either that or reading at home* and in my first boarding school

* Until end of 88, when DM used me to buy her first video games console.

I did like "Frogger" and some space invaders game. I am old enough to remember "pong." My BiL got a copy from the hospital he worked at to see if it woulod work in hospitals. Never saw it there.

I remember that. It was so ludicrous that it was one of the factors that led me to walk away from religion. The evangelicals are the greatest conspiracy theorists of all time and the most gullible.

Outside of your country* ? Not one but I was in boardschool from September 1986 to December 1998, so it's normal I never heard about it before stumbling on Hemant's blog.

* Middle East and Africa countries still have witch hunts today, how many are related to the Satanic Panic ? No sé.

Too bad there isn't a Chaz Stevens in Florida's OTHER 66 counties. I suspect there's a lot of Jesus-pushing going on there in places where there's nobody courageous enuf to call them on it the way Chaz does for Broward County.

Apologies for the broken donate button—it’s working now.

No funds. Not a spare penny to my name. And zero—absolutely ZERO—interest from AA, AU, FFRF, or any of the usual suspects. But here I am, standing alone, fighting for what’s right.

I’ve pitched 100+ law firms across the U.S. about this. Crickets.

No one gives a flying fuck—let alone a sitting fuck—about this issue.

If this matters to you, and if you can’t take action yourself, I’ll do it for both of us.

P.S. Remember my Texas Arabic "In God We Trust" project? Well, it’s back—this time in North Carolina. Big moves coming soon.

Likely ... very likely.

But, given my substantial, documented 30 year track record of effecting change at the local and state levels, I'm a force of nature.

Then again, maybe it's because few pro-se Federal litigants, involved in a 1A cause over Establishment, FFRA, and Free Speech issues, survive in the lawsuit.

Let alone flourish as I'm doing.

This stuff is hard, hard beyond belief ... but here I am, months later, with the Judge indicating "Plaintiff has good cause" and "Plaintiff has been personally injured."

Congratulations to Ontario, Canada for cancelling its $100 million Starlink contract with Elon just now.

I wish I could personally apologize to Canadians for the jackassery of the muskrump. And tell them to keep pushing back like this. Hard. Cancel those contracts. Pull American products from your shelves. Call out the jackassery for what it is, because American media sure as hell ain't gonna. Maybe people here will start thinking when all this starts hitting them in their pocketbooks (and you guys will have to explain why, in the most elementary of terms to make sure people understand, because the muskrump will just blame you. DO NOT allow them to get away with that).

Not a guarantee, but it's worth a shot.

The US is now the neighborhood crack house. You all to the north are the worried neighbors. Take steps to protect yourselves.

Andrew Seidel? Great with the tweets—not so great with the help.

I survived the motion to dismiss (less than 10% of pro se litigants do). I was granted leave to file a second amended complaint—a rarity among rarities.

Fuck 'em. If they want to sit on their asses, raking in donations and cashing checks, so be it.

As for me? I don't waste my time with Twitter, I get off my can and in the game.

OT : Follow up on my last comment on the previous post. The social worker was wearing a mask and coughing a lot. In the afternoon, 2 or 3 hours after I was back home, I received a text asking me to call back because my Tuesday 4th appointment was cancelled 😅

This book banning mania is a manifestation of entrenched Christian privilege. Given a free hand, they would ban every book above a middle-school level. The people who claim to be in possession of absolute truth, are terrified of being challenged Having nothing in the way of objective evidence to support their claims, they do what ever they can to silence their critics. It is an open admission of just how weak their message is. No matter how elaborate the theo-babble gets, it still comes down to myth and magical thinking.

The school board, in their letter to "Liberty" Counsel, explicitly states that they are revising their policy to separate "sponsorships" from "asvertising" with the explicit goal of allowing this church to continue a̶d̶v̶e̶r̶t̶i̶s̶i̶n̶g̶ sponsoring while deliberately excluding others. They really don't like the First Amendment, do they?

This is another attempt to force a Christian Privelege case up to SCOTUS so they can get the far right justices to declare the Establishment clause void.
