If these extremist groups managed to execute all of the worlds gay people, they would simply move on to their next target. It's really about hate for its own sake.
It is not possible for them to execute all the world's gay people. They could come close, and while congratulating themselves find out that a significant number of infants born during their murder spree are gay. Criminalizing natural human variation is never going to work.
