PayPal is cutting ties with “Christian” fundraising platform GiveSendGo, making it harder for the site to collect money for the controversial campaigns they host. GiveSendGo is the go-to collection bucket for right-wing legal fund needs, such as those of alleged shooter Kyle Rittenhouse and Proud Boys leader Enrique Tarrio— presumably because GoFundMe has ethical standards.
Jerry Falwell, Jr. returned to Instagram today… with a dig at climate change. Proving once again that he’s always doing his best to be the worst.
Lawmakers in North Dakota have introduced a bill that would require clergy to report confessions of child sexual abuse to authorities. Shocking this wasn’t already the law, right? Currently, anything said within the confines of a confession booth is sworn to absolute secrecy, even if it means endangering children. Of course the Catholic Church is pushing back, calling it “a violation of our religious freedom.”
Can anyone recall Donald Trump going on the White House balcony, stretching out his arms, and leading everyone in prayer?
If you ever wonder what the lower rung conspiracy theorists are listening to that motivates them to violence, look no further than Pastor Brandon Burden’s sermons. “We are locked and loaded at the Burden house,” he tells his sheep before sending them out to buy generators and shortwave radios.
If there are two things Franklin Graham knows nothing about, it’s shame and principles. Yet he went on Facebook to throw shame in the faces of the 10 principled House Republicans who voted to impeach Trump.
Shame, shame on the ten Republicans who joined with Speaker Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats in impeaching President Trump yesterday. After all that he has done for our country, you would turn your back and betray him so quickly?…
… But the House Democrats impeached him because they hate him and want to do as much damage as they can. And these ten, from his own party, joined in the feeding frenzy. It makes you wonder what the thirty pieces of silver were that Speaker Pelosi promised for this betrayal.
The former spiritual adviser to President George W. Bush has been busted for his role in a massive fraud scheme. Pastor Kirbyjon Caldwell will spend six years in prison for personally receiving $900,000 of the $3.5 million in fake bonds he sold gullible people. Where’s a good spiritual adviser when you need one?
There’s no appropriate commentary for this other than laughter:
Finally, atheists, our time has arrived!
So it only costs half as much to dethrone God as it does to have gay weddings? Bargain!
