So, it's not wrong to slander and libel the parents of dead children? In the same tweet where he said that, he also claims Trump did nothing wrong. Just how skewed is this man's sense of morality? Apparently his sense of right and wrong is dependent on whether or not the action is taken by someone he agrees with politically, not whether or not basic human decency is involved. Lahmeyer seems to think Trump can do no wrong because he is Trump, not because of his character.

Bensnewlogin's avatar

That pretty much sums it up.

Maltnothops's avatar

Hey, have you been reading comments at Christian Post?!?!

Joe King's avatar

No, but I bet i just summarized them all....

It does. My brain started planning for ww3 yesterday, but I refuse to listen.

Hey Lahmeyer: the religion clauses of the First Amendment would like a word with you. You are probably one of those idiots who think the Establishment Clause means that Congress is only prohibited from declaring one particular sect of Christianity the official Church of the United States.

Your tweet says it's not racist to use racist stereotypes to identify someone you disagree with who also happens to have more melanin than you do. Explain exactly how that isn't racist. Explain it like I'm five, because in every universe i know of, targeting someone with racist stereotypes is pretty fucking racist.

Red districts have already been flipped blue across the country. While my hope for that outcome here is very small, it is still there.

Can you imagine a one-on-one between Lahmeyer and Crockett in a House subcommittee? Oh, get the popcorn and beer for THAT one! 🍿 🍺

Joe King's avatar

Popcorn and beer? The entertainment value is much higher. Charcuterie board and fine wine.

Troublesh00ter's avatar

Maybe so. I may go for a can of Guinness and some chocolate-covered pretzels ... or a snifter of Famous Grouse.

NOGODZ20's avatar

We have the recent example of Ryan β€œChildkiller” Walters and his NatC agenda being smacked down hard in OK, so there’s that.

NOGODZ20's avatar

Or does sex trafficking childen give you a little tingle in your nethers, eh Jackwad?

Troublesh00ter's avatar

I would LOVE to know what Trump has done RIGHT in the eyes of a sane, rational person.

I'm waiting...

NOGODZ20's avatar

15 minutes as of this typing and I still hear nothing but crickets chirping.

Troublesh00ter's avatar

Yeah. Big surprise, eh? 😝

Val Uptuous NotAgain's avatar

But if he did cure cancer, you would still hate him. Gotcha!

Troublesh00ter's avatar

He's not smart enough to cure himself of a common cold! I at least know enough to throw in some zinc with my B-complex / C vitamins when I have one.

Val Uptuous NotAgain's avatar

Yeah, that β€œif” is doing a lot of heavy lifting in that sentence. Even IF he could cure cancer (he definitely cannot) the other crimes against humanity he has committed still outweigh this one good he might do. Every breath he takes is lies, manipulation, avarice, greed, and cruelty, he wouldn’t even consider trying to cure cancer without some serious benefit to him, which doesn’t exist. Any good things he has done during his presidencies, and honestly I can’t think of one really, have been done by accident and walked back immediately. The thing about that comment was the people who think it is a gotcha, think that his cruel, inhumane, and deadly policies are net positives. They want him to be this awful. They think concentration camps are good. They believe he is only rounding up terrible violent criminals, and if he gets a few illegals with no convictions they deserve it too because they’re illegals. Nevermind all the legal immigrants, US citizens, and innocent people just passing by that are wounded, permanently disabled and killed. Those folks deserve it too somehow. The folks with this worldview are both as inhumane as he is and also lied to about what is really happening. So, whether we would hate him for curing cancer or not isn’t the issue, because it is a ridiculous impossible hypothetical, but also because they are fine with whatever he does no matter how much it hurts them as long as it hurts others as well.

Sorry for the rant.

Troublesh00ter's avatar

Don't worry about the rant. I get it, and I suspect the rest of us do as well. The American people have been rip-sawed from a sane black man to a clueless reality show star to an elderly but capable leader to that same clueless madman 2.0 in 18 years. It would drive anyone to drink.

I just sorrow that I can't do more to change things for the better.

Bensnewlogin's avatar

I’m sure someone else is going to say it, but since I’m on my 1st cup of coffee, I’ll say it, too.

He is demonstrating the disconnect between morality and religion, decency and power, maga intelligence and reality. Because it’s all about power. Money is in there too, but power is the major motivator.

I don’t really have much else I can say about him. More and more, the idea of even visiting a red state is unappealing to me.

A pastor who loves Donald Trump. There are surely a lot of them, but if Trump wasn’t Trump, I’m sure they would be commenting about his immorality. But power wins over everything.

It’s what happens when you let sociopaths in.

Boreal's avatar

This is all I needed to know about this fool: "a graduate of Oral Roberts University."

The Epistler's avatar

I still need to know how the hell anyone thought naming their child "Oral" was a good idea. No wonder the guy turned evil.

Boreal's avatar

It is an absolutely bonkers name.

NOGODZ20's avatar

At least they didn’t name him Anal.

Which actually might have been more appropriate, come to think of it.

Holytape's avatar

It is not racist to point out that Jackson Lahmeyer only looks like a sheep fucker. And despite the appearance and all the rumors, no solid proof has been offered has been to definitely prove that Jackson Lahmeyer fucks sheeps. Just because he might keep sheep in his basement, and he might have sheep-size dress in his closet. But let me be clear, it is not racist to say that the allegations that Jackson Lahmeyer is a sheep fucker has not been proved beyond a reasonable doubt.

NOGODZ20's avatar

Sir, I'll have you know that Jackson Lahmeyer does not violate sheep. It is my understanding that he has congress with goats (randy buggers).

John Smith's avatar

I wouldn’t be surprised that fuckwit is into ALL BARNYARD animals!

Kukaan Ei MissÀÀn's avatar

Not only that, but the congress is consensual...

Val Uptuous NotAgain's avatar

So who will the Democratic Party run against him? What will their messaging be? How will we defeat the NSGOP if we just concede all these β€œsolidly red” districts and states to the GOP?

It is clear the GOP doesn’t have any real sane candidates anymore, no one any thinking person would actually want to run our government, but they keep getting elected. Why? Because there’s no other option in so many places. We throw our hands in the air, and say β€œwhy bother” in far too many races. We have given up the narrative to the GOP as well. The dems don’t try to take hold of the messaging before the GOP manipulates it, they don’t try to correct anything. Let’s stop being ineffectual and run offense. Find a candidate to run in that district, one that will show even the MAGA crowd this dipshit will hurt them, because he will. They’re all on the cusp of getting it, let’s give them something to reach for when they do.

Troublesh00ter's avatar

Considering the pending Senate fight between Talarico and either Cornyn or Paxton, now may be the time to put up some serious challenges. I don't know how deep the Texas Democratic Committee's pockets are at the moment, but my sense is that the Lone Star State is IN PLAY right now.

And now may be the time to take our shot.

Donrox's avatar

The land of LBJ, Ann Richards, and Molly Ivins is big and diverse. It may hold some surprises for us.

Troublesh00ter's avatar

We could use a surprise like that, right about now.

John Smith's avatar

We need to be more aggressive and stop playing catch up! Run candidates, even when we have no chance in hell, just to make them work for the placement rather letting the Christian fascist think they are entitled to that position!

Linda's avatar

It’s true. I think it’s really hard for Dems in red states to raise money. There’s a lack of local donors and after the 2024 loss many large donors reduced or canceled their funding altogether. We need to do so much better.

James's avatar

In my state, state senator Megan Hunt (DSA) noted that the DLCC (the Democratic campaign arm for state legislative and local races) has never spent one dime on any race in Nebraska in the entire history of the DLCC.

I turn in ballots with a lot of blank votes here.

Linda's avatar

Terrible! Unacceptable

Many of the current Dems are corporatists and have no issues with fascism for us as long as their capital is protected.

NOGODZ20's avatar

And as always, I must ask the question I ask about every Trump-loving MAGAt:

How long before we see Lahmeyer's name in the headlines for molesting children? Everybody set their watches.

John Smith's avatar

If we are place dates on that: I say by the end of July 2026.

Jerry Bassett's avatar

I'm not clear on what other wings of the Republican Party exists besides the 'MAGA Wing' of the Republican Party.

James's avatar

Calling the GOP "MAGAs" lets the GOP off the hook for the decades of promoting their racism and hatred. From Goldwater inviting in the Klan and John Birch Society, Eisenhower's Operation Racist Slur, to Ronald Reagan announcing his first campaign over the crime scene of slain Civil Rights Era workers, to the weakening of education, they have always been this.

The correct term for them is "Republican." Do not accept the cutesy framing of Trump supporters calling themselves MAGAs. (Make America Great was also a slogan of the Second Klan, the America First movement of the Thirties, and the Ronald Reagan campaign.)

Matri's avatar

The proper term is β€œright-wing”.

Ever since they started shoving their Christianity into government.

John Smith's avatar

Not just in government, but in every other aspect of society. The Christian fascist think that their religion should determine everyone else life choices not just in their own miserable lives!

John Smith's avatar

I wouldn’t be surprised if they already believe that, at least in private (for now).

Troublesh00ter's avatar

With guys like Lahmeyer, antisemitism isn't a bug. It's a feature.

John Smith's avatar

Yes, it is. For now MOST Christian fascists are willing to say that in private. However, given time the Christian fascists will be more open about their antisemitism!

NOGODZ20's avatar

Xtian NatCs also display antisemitism against Palestinians, most of whom are Sunni Muslims (85 - 99%). The also display antisemitism towards all Muslims.

John Smith's avatar

Let’s face it, the Christian fascists hate everyone who isn’t like them. In the MAGA’s non existent mind a β€œREAL” American is: white (Western European descended), heterosexual only, Christian (evangelical), conservative (fascist), republican (Trump supporter); everyone else is not even considered American (not even human); fit to be used, abused, killed on a whim (and without consequences). That is what we have to pushback on, it is a never ending fight, but one that needs to be fought nonetheless!

NOGODZ20's avatar

"Oklahoma Values," is it?

Is that why they're continually ranked near the bottom of "Best States to Live In?"

oraxx's avatar

Few things ever demonstrated the disconnect between religion and morality any better than the evangelical preachers proclaiming their unconditional love for the most grotesquely immoral President in American history. These fools tend to live in a bubble where their extremist ideas are constantly reinforced. The American people simply do not want to be ruled by religious nut jobs, which is not to say he might not win a House seat in Oklahoma. He will be about as effective in Congress as Lauren Boebert and Gym Jordan.

James's avatar

Gym Jordan is in charge of the Judiciary Committee. That puts him in a position to protect people like Pam Bondi from ICE's abuse, Donald Trump from the Epstein Files, &c.

Oh, yeah, this character Lahmeyer is CLEARLY a piece of work, never mind running with the Trump School of Self-Contradiction. "At this season in my life, I have no intentions of running for any particular office in the near future." "Oh, wait, I didn't mean that! Forget I ever said it!"

You want us to forget what you said about Rep. Jasmine Crockett, too? NOT A CHANCE!
