Or these "so-called Christian"schools could actually spend the money on making students safer and be more upfront about what classes actually cost, that would be the "Christian" thing to do wouldn't it? But if they are okay throwing away millions of dollars of fines down the drain and risk losing their accreditations well that's on them. It has everything to do with the heartless and soulless individuals running these institutions and absolutely Nothing to do with the Biden Administration. But that's certainly Christian blaming others for their own sins. Very Christian ✝️ Feliz Navidad and a MERRY FK YOU to these "Christian" schools. Go the fk out and Stay the fk out of business.

I doubt they care much about the state of their accreditation. I suspect they WILL care about the fines that got levied on them, never mind actions that might be taken by the parents of the kids who were attacked.

Hit them in the wallet HARD enough times and it's JUST possible that their ears may become unplugged.

I think they have their own accreditation body. Accreditation is only as worthy as the accreditating body.

Hitting them in the wallet just increases their funding as they scream persecution and ask the marks for more money.

I'm reminded of the philosophical question: Two merchants don't cheat their customers. Merchant A doesn't because it's illegal. Merchant B doesn't because it's wrong. Who is more moral?

christians would say A because he's following the law and they see losing money (punishment) as the only deterrent that works.

As the headmaster of a conservative Christian institution of higher indoctrination, I can tell you that this is a direct attack on Christian institutions. Think about it, what does Christian college offer that is better than a secular institution? Is it a better education? No. Our medical schools have to censor anatomical drawings. We refer to the female reproductive system as sin caves. Last year we had to burn half of the science department because they were witches. Our library has one book, the bible. So better education is off the table. The only thing we can offer that is better than a secular university is a greater self-righteous sense of moral superiority. That's it. And if you don't allow us to ignore our faults, how do you expect us to sell this moral superiority. Have you ever met someone from an Ivy league school? There false sense of superiority is at an eleven. We have to compete with that. We need our sense of moral superiority to be at a twelve on a scale of ten. And by focusing on something as trivial as an epidemic of rape and assault, your damaging our image. And by extension, Jesus's image. You are making baby Jesus cry.

Christian schools hide behind religion to draw in students while simultaneously providing fraudulent information about attendance costs and failing to keep those same students safe once on campus. They then try to use their religion as a shield to avoid accountability for their fraudulent conduct by screaming 'religious persecution!!!'

But here's the thing: Secular schools have been held accountable by the DOE for the same behaviors and fined according to the severity of their conduct. When a school accepts federal funding, it's required to abide by federal laws. When they don't, they're subject to consequences.

Christian schools ALL want the benefits of federal funding, but they don't want to play by the same rules as everyone else. Tough shit.

Every accusaation a confession. They want to weaponize the government against secular schools, so they claim Democrats are targeting them. Maybe this disparity isn't targeting, but because more rule breaking was found at the Christian schools. Of course when they say "faith-based", they are only referring to Christian. Their version of Christianity, where profit is king, subservient only to power and control. Why else would they lump the for-profit career schools with the Christian ones?

So, what you’re telling me is, sexual assault and lying about your school’s performance and costs are sacraments? These things, otherwise considered crimes for anyone else, are not just SOP, but required policy in your religion.

Too bad Christianity was successful in brainwashing the masses to not use their brain at all, because anyone with half a brain cell could see that this is not worthy of worship. Born wearing it,

I’m taking off this veil,

to myself,

that tied my mouth,

gave my god a devil’s face,

and muffled my own voice.

I’m taking off these silks,

these lacy things

that feed dictator dreams,

the mangalsutra and the rings

rattling in a tin cup of needs

that beggared me.

I’m taking off this skin,

Back in the 70's, when the first private religious school encroached on our small town, its administration and supporters were quite fond of bloviating about "the massive problem" with drugs on its rival public school's campus (the town was so small there was only one public high school). If you knew who to ask and were patient, yes, you could score some weed, probably the same as any other high school, really, but it wasn't exactly a major problem.

This went on for the couple of years, until the local PD/SO busted about half a dozen students at the private religious school who were running a drug ring. There was a noticeable silence from the private school's administration.

Turned out the rich kids at the private school had more resources and more access to harder forbidden stuff.

This was a long, long, looooong time ago so I don't know what the situation is now for either school. I figure public school is going to be shut down soon anyway, and the remaining kids (something like 80 or 90 percent from families below the poverty line) will be bused to the next county. There are a lot of low-income and special needs kids who are going to lose out if DOE meets the wrecking ball.

Stipulated that it's actually that APP that's making the claim. [shrug] PO-TAY-to, po-TAH-to. Makes me wonder how the APP feels about the actual practices at Liberty University and GCU and the harm done to the students of those respective schools. Then, too, if the Christian schools mentioned were less interested in collecting tuition and more interested in the overall well being of their students, Hemant would have to look elsewhere for something to report on.

Fact is, the behavior of the schools mentioned is egregious and deserving of both scrutiny and appropriate action. Once again, I'd like followup, to see if those schools can be bothered to clean up their act.
