Time and again, the Christalibani demonstrate that it is THEY who are the terrorists.
Imagine their reaction if they were told that THEY didn't have the same rights as others. Bible thumpers are the first to scream whenever they are even mildly inconvenienced.
Every imaginable horror has been perpetrated by Christians acting in the name of Christianity. Their get out of jail free card is the claim they weren't TRUE Christians.
I have a new suggestion. Make christianity illegal. A non-recognized cult of hatred. Pray in the closet as their Jesus said ! No public religious lunacy.
Perhaps we should play “opposite day” in all those states that still have laws on the books saying atheists can’t run for office — change it to “only atheists can run for office.”
Islam does not have a single, numbered list called the "Ten Commandments". Instead, the Quran contains foundational moral codes and verses—most notably in Surah Al-An'am (6:151–152) and Surah Al-Isra (17:22–39)—that parallel the biblical commandments. Muslims respect Moses as a major prophet and accept the core ethics of the Torah, but look to the Quran for their primary instructions.
Boreal, I have said this before. No Muslim has ever knocked on my door to convince me about their religion, only christians are so arrogantly intrusive!
Perhaps we should play “opposite day” in all those states that still have laws on the books saying atheists can’t run for office — change it to “only atheists can run for office.”
(Alas, it’s not mere psychosis. If it were, the answer would be as simple as dosing them with some Haldol or the like.)
I cannot remember a time when Republicans weren’t targeting one group or another. Spreading hate and division is far easier than putting forward policies people actually support. Should they run out of Muslims to hate, they will simply move on to the next group who ever they might be. I live in the burbs of north Dallas and I see Muslims all the time. The guys with Confederate flags on their jacked up pickups worry me a whole lot more.
Not only do some Christians think this is a Christian nation, they think that no one else of any other belief system (and likely LACK of a belief system!) is worthy to be a US citizen with rights conferred by the Constitution. They think they can take an entire group of people and render them personae non gratae, by means pseudo-legal and extra-legal.
And it doesn't necessarily end here. Anyone of any alternative belief system could wind up in their target reticle and for no other reason than that THEY ARE NOT CHRISTIAN. This crap needs to be stopped and I mean YESTERDAY.
"This crap needs to be stopped" Good luck with that, religions rule the United States, with unlimited wealth, and political power. The special exemptions and privileges given to them in the last 75 years has only made them stronger.
I never said it'd be easy. There are too many people who either sit on their hands, oblivious to the whole situation, or shrug and claim that nothing can be done. Then again, there's US and the organizations that support our way of thinking. The Freedom From Religion Foundation, American Atheists, Americans United, the American Humanist Association, and let's not forget the ACLU. It also may be that, once things get too big to ignore that at least a few of the sleepwalkers will wake up.
Sad fact is, any resolution has the potential to be bloody, and I mean LITERALLY so. Some time back, someone said that eternal vigilance is the price of freedom. Too many have not been so vigilant, and some actively working AGAINST our current way of living. Blood may be the currency we'll have to pay.
They also think that the Constitution only confers rights on citizens. Like they think their Glorious Leader is justified in arbitrarily and unilaterally taking away someone’s green card because they told too much truth about Netanyahu’s genocide, or encouraged Americans to vote in favour of democracy and against fascism, or did research that confirmed the efficacy of vaccines, or just have skin that’s too dark for the tastes of T—p and his fellow white supremacists.
It’s almost as if Christian nationalism is a political ideology that seeks to merge religious and national identities rather than a Christian faith practice.
"When a foreigner resides among you in your land, do not mistreat them. The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the Lord your God."
These fuckwads are eventually going to push so far that the backlash will result in outright hostility to their Christianity too. And no one will give a fuck about them or their cries of persecution.
It's not even racism, really. It's outright bigotry, aimed at anyone who isn't THEM. This is yet another case of "othering" a minority, to make them less than human and therefore fit for discrimination and worse.
Once again, it's not the Muslims we need to worry about. It's the Nat-Cs.
They are their own worst enemy. No one is trying to take away their religion, yet they claim they're being persecuted any time people reject having religion forced on them.
This is more disturbing than it seems. Couple the attacks on Muslims’ religious freedoms, the whole ICE thing, and the alarming rise in strange fruit cases in the past year and a half, this is coordinated attacks on anyone outside of the white supremacy worldview. I would also include the attacks on women’s autonomy into this bucket as well. I’m pretty sure the only reason we aren’t seeing something like this directed at Jewish people is because Israel’s grip on Trump and our federal government.
Yeah, it won’t stop with Muslims, because it didn’t start, nor is it focused solely on them. This is white Christian supremacy writ large. They’ve learned from the Nazis to diversify their attacks, they can hide their intentions from the public for a bit longer this way. They might even get more support from more people. I’ve seen a bunch of Facebook atheist groups devolve into solely Islam attack pages, where every post is histrionics over everyday Muslims living their lives as Americans, calling it Sharia law. And anyone who pushes back is automatically labeled a sympathizer, claiming the Quran calls for everyone who isn’t a Muslim to die. Could it be infiltration from Christian Nationalists in the atheist spaces? Maybe, maybe not, but it is going to recruit folks who don’t want any religion to rule the country to support the Christian Nationalist agenda without realizing that’s what they’re supporting.
Perhaps I’m overreacting or overanalyzing what is happening, but I really do see a connection between all these attacks.
For the wealthy and connected ones, anyway. The rank-and-file red hat yahoos are gonna have to learn the hard way that they aren't part of the in-group... and never will be.
ICE is a white supremacist organization , since its inception. My point is that the ramping up of the attacks on immigrants along with the lynchings happening all over, and the attacks on Islam and women’s rights are all part of one agenda. We are being attacked on all sides and by compartmentalizing the attacks, making them all look different, they’re getting away with more and finding unlikely supporters.
This might be a good occasion to collect language from the multitude of Supreme Court majority (or unanimous) decisions (more than 20) repeating the bedrock principle that the First Amendment requires government NEUTRALITY “between religion and religion” and “between religion and nonreligion.”
The current Justices (animated by the illicit, un-American, political agenda of Alito, Thomas and others) seem to have lost their focus on the common sense, bedrock principles of *secular* (non-discriminatory, inclusive of all individual religious perspectives), NEUTRAL, and non-discriminatory government.
The 1947 Everson decision would be a good start, but the decisions reinforcing the principle of government NEUTRALITY subsequent to Everson are numerous, persuasive, and overwhelming with the weight of settled authority:
“The "establishment of religion" clause of the First Amendment means at least this: neither a state nor the Federal Government can set up a church. Neither can pass laws which aid one religion, aid all religions, or prefer one religion over another. Neither can force nor influence a person to go to or to remain away from church against his will or force him to profess a belief or disbelief in any religion. No person can be punished for entertaining
Page 330 U. S. 16
or professing religious beliefs or disbeliefs, for church attendance or non-attendance. No tax in any amount, large or small, can be levied to support any religious activities or institutions, whatever they may be called, or whatever form they may adopt to teach or practice religion. Neither a state nor the Federal Government can, openly or secretly, participate in the affairs of any religious organizations or groups, and vice versa. In the words of Jefferson, the clause against establishment of religion by law was intended to erect "a wall of separation between church and State." Reynolds v. United States, supra, at 98 U. S. 164.”
The agenda-driven Roberts / Alito / Thomas / court has crucified the principle of stare decisis, has knowingly reasoned in dishonest and illegitimate ways, and is not deserving of the respect that it purports to arrogate to itself.
Politicians like Greg Abbott (who used to serve as a judge, but not in a way deserving of any respect) and these others who (in contrast to John Adams or Thomas Jefferson) have publicly “outed” themselves as anti-Muslim bigots, deserve all the criticism directed their way, and willfully violate their oaths of office on a daily basis.
Hoarding wealth and hoarding power are both misguided goals that explain a lot of the behavior of Peter Thiel, Elon Musk, the Dumpster Fire — American Presiden’t, MBS, Russian Oligarchs, and hundreds if not thousands of notable plutocrat names still concealed in the Epstein files. Don’t forget that Xeni Jardin has reported about Silicon Valley dinners she personally attended with Epstein and Musk and/or Thiel present. Epstein’s weirdo breeding project in New Mexico, Musk’s own breeding program, and the weird economy of trafficking women into Saudi Arabia, UAE, etc (American and East European women reportedly fetch a premium) did not occur wholly in a vacuum or completely independently of one another. The Technofeudalist Pedosadists who crave dominion over all of us, also — deep down — crave arbitrary privilege to rape with abandon, and never to face consequences for the harm they cause to others.
Weird maybe, but with untoward purpose behind them. We've let the Heritage Foundation slide for entirely too long without turning a damned bright light on their sorry asses.
It's time they got the kind of attention that they DON'T want!
Not sure whether we will ever get a critical mass of non-specialist Americans to focus on, and understand, the danger embodied by the proliferation of billionare-funded entities such as (but hardly limited to) the Heritage Foundation, or the Council for National Policy, or American Legislative Exchange Council, that trace their origins to the Powell Memo, written by a politically influential tobacco lawyer in 1971. https://youtu.be/8b2gyhtdIDo?is=NdV9_IoyPlfolfaY
I’m pointing out the deliberate, National Association of Manufacturers-funded (and supported by other trade groups) invention of false American historical narratives, along with the invention of perverted “religious” doctrines (“Seven Mountains” among others) at least as pernicious as the CIA-initiated rewrite of Islam (targeted at the USSR invasion of Afghanistan in 1979) that rather quickly gave us Al Quaeda and Bin Laden. It is not JUST an organic relationship between or among politicians, industrialists and clergy. It was a well-funded and deliberately manipulative invention of pseudo-history and anti-Christian religious doctrines (“Prosperity Gospel” fraud, “the Secret,” “manifesting,” “Freedom Under God,” “spiritual mobilization,” “spiritual warfare,” among other problem ideas and PR slogans).
Indeed, priests and kings are relatively recent, post-agriculture (and, according to Robert Sapolsky, coinciding with widespread human sacrifice in multiple cultures, https://www.wsj.com/articles/human-sacrifice-as-a-tool-of-social-control-1490379093) developments, compared with the ancient collusion between tribal Big Men and village Shamans.
Whether we call them kings and priests or tribal big men and village shamans, we are talking about the same phenomena. Those who want power ally with those who will help them gain and hold it best. And will turn on each other when it suits their purposes.
Sort of. But remember there’s a difference between rank amateurs — people just bumbling through life and politics by making sh*t up as they go along — vs. well-funded PR professionals and social engineers. Machiavelli, for instance, draws a distinction in Chapter VI of The Prince between garden-variety rulers and “those who, by their own ability and not through fortune, have risen to be princes” (the great princes) of whom “I say that Moses, Cyrus, Romulus Theseus, and such like are the most excellent examples.”
The same thing could be said of Christianity AND Judaism, for that matter. The problem in the US is that, right now, Christian Nationalism is the emergent and pressing problem.
They don't just thrive on it, they're DEPENDENT on it. Not that long ago, I watched a Monte Mader video where she was citing some hotshot preacher who insisted that: "Christians need to learn how to hate again." I am certain that guy was not alone in what he was saying from the pulpit, and THIS is the brand of Christianity people like those Hemant referred to are supporting.
And I'll say it again: it's the Nat-Cs we need to pay attention to, far more than the Muslims.
I read an article a few days ago, where one was contrasting the faith of eg pope Leo and jd vance. The writer made the point that the pope’s faith is far more inclusive, inclusive of refugees, strangers, poor people, people needing healthcare - you get the picture. Classic Jesus-based commandment-type christianity.
And then he contrasted it with the kind of faith spouted by the likes of Mr Louse Johnson, who apparently is really really comfortable with decimating healthcare and cutting food stamps. Apparently the commandments of healing the sick and feeding the hungry don’t really matter to him. Does he see them as the ‘outgroup’, who does not deserve the love and care which Jesus commands?
The fundie xtians always insist that all of those help the poor commandments are directed to individual people and not to people collectively (meaning government). That’s their out. They never say how much they themselves are helping the poor.
On the point if Mr Louse, I’d really love to witness the occasion when he’s turning up at the pearly gates and is being quizzed by St Peter, as to whether he’s been a good person, deserving of entering heaven ….
See, Muslim want to criminalize homosexuality, destroy trans rights, and treat women as subservient to men because of their so called holy book. That is just wrong and immoral. We should criminalize homosexuality, destroy trans rights and treat women as subservient to men because of my holy book.
Does that mean I am doing something wrong when I talk with my co-workes borned in the middle east? And even worse, I gave them some of my grape leaves. They talked about making dolmes and I said "Hey, I got hundreds of grape leaves in my garden. You want some?".
Time and again, the Christalibani demonstrate that it is THEY who are the terrorists.
Imagine their reaction if they were told that THEY didn't have the same rights as others. Bible thumpers are the first to scream whenever they are even mildly inconvenienced.

I have a new suggestion. Make christianity illegal. A non-recognized cult of hatred. Pray in the closet as their Jesus said ! No public religious lunacy.
Funny, that’s what a lot of mainline Protestants and non-“traditional” [i.e., not nostalgic for the Middle Ages] Catholics say about fundies.
Maybe Saudi Arabia should do the same thing to kkkristianity. Let's listen to them whine and cry then.
Bingo. They make a ruckus if that too-tight shoe is on the other foot.
Or maybe Israel should. I’m pretty sure they do not welcome Christian “missionaries” trying to convert their kids any more than we do.
They are the Masters Of Projection. Time has proven them to be guilty of everything they’ve accused others of.
Matri, 🎯
While I have no love for any of the Abrahamic religions, it isn't Muslims trying to force their religion down our throats.
Truly why we need more atheists in leadership roles to manage this terrible religious psychosis situation.
Like, “I have no skin in this game, so please trust me when I say we have decades of work and unlearning to do here. Hope you make it out alive!”
Perhaps we should play “opposite day” in all those states that still have laws on the books saying atheists can’t run for office — change it to “only atheists can run for office.”
Does you happen to know if Islam has something similar to the 10 Cs?
What I found:
Islam does not have a single, numbered list called the "Ten Commandments". Instead, the Quran contains foundational moral codes and verses—most notably in Surah Al-An'am (6:151–152) and Surah Al-Isra (17:22–39)—that parallel the biblical commandments. Interesting point of information. Thanks for bringing it!
Including wiring, detonators, and fuses.
I think you’re confusing the Quran with the Anarchist’s Cookbook. 🙂
If Islam has anything like the 10Cs, it's more than likely in the hadith. I'm not aware of any such thing in the quran.
I believe so but I am not familiar with its tenets.
Boreal, I have said this before. No Muslim has ever knocked on my door to convince me about their religion, only christians are so arrogantly intrusive!

One guess*. Is the guy with the Confederate flag on his truck a Democrat or Republican?
* actually it's not a guess.
Surely you meant to say a Republican or a commie traitor.
I wear my Commie Traitor badge with pride.
¡Viva la revolución!
That would worry me too.
"Spreading hate and division" Agreed, and religions basically despise each other making it easy for the MAGAs..

Not just not Christian, not the correct type of Christian. But they always forget that part.
And skin colour! Don’t forget skin colour!
"This crap needs to be stopped" Good luck with that, religions rule the United States, with unlimited wealth, and political power. The special exemptions and privileges given to them in the last 75 years has only made them stronger.

They are ignorant, and you know well how Trump loves the poorly educated.
It’s almost as if Christian nationalism is a political ideology that seeks to merge religious and national identities rather than a Christian faith practice.
Hmmm ... Linda, I THINK you may be onto something! 😁
😂 Each day is so hard to get through
…ALMOST….
😂
From what I see and read about UnUSA you are not wrong.
"Muslims don't belong in American society."
"The enemy is inside the gates."
Hmm. What does the biblical god say?
"When a foreigner resides among you in your land, do not mistreat them. The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the Lord your God."
-- Leviticus 19:33-34
They don't like the taste of that cherry.
The biblical orchard is 𝘧𝘪𝘭𝘵𝘩𝘺 with the rotting remains of all the cherries Nat-Cs didn't care for.
Yahweh says what?
It is pure racism.
These fuckwads are eventually going to push so far that the backlash will result in outright hostility to their Christianity too. And no one will give a fuck about them or their cries of persecution.

The have to INVENT persecution in order to claim that they are being persecuted. About as childish as you can get ... and as dangerous.
Where's that meme of the kid putting a boot on his own face when I need it...
I haven't for a while now.
They can't force their religion on us. That's our job!
And they hate competition!
This is more disturbing than it seems. Couple the attacks on Muslims’ religious freedoms, the whole ICE thing, and the alarming rise in strange fruit cases in the past year and a half, this is coordinated attacks on anyone outside of the white supremacy worldview. Everything in Project 2025 is to make the world a better place for male white supremacists.
For the wealthy and connected ones, anyway. The rank-and-file red hat yahoos are gonna have to learn the hard way that they aren't part of the in-group... and never will be.
Nope. There are white supremists in charge of ICE and have been for months.
Trump took the leash off, and for good measure installed someone who would definitely ramp things up.
Oh it is most definitely infiltration
There’s a story about how a few years back the FBI planted an informant in a mosque to root out extremists.
The mosque reported him to the FBI for his extremist behaviour.
My delusion is better than your delusion!!!

But the 1st Amendment is anti-Project 2025.
The entire Constitution is anti-Project 2025.
Well, perhaps not the 3/5 Compromise and the Electoral College. Oh, and the absence of the Equal Rights Amendment to guarantee same for men and women.
The Heritage Foundation and the Trump Administration both have had weird priorities, for quite some time, from what I’ve seen.
They want power and money, as much of both as they can get their grubby little paws on.
And everyone who isn't them can be a serf or dead, depending on how much trouble they make for the overlords.
And for the record and any interest, here's that Monte Mader Short:

See, Muslim want to criminalize homosexuality, destroy trans rights, and treat women as subservient to men because of their so called holy book. That is just wrong and immoral. We should criminalize homosexuality, destroy trans rights and treat women as subservient to men because of my holy book.
Yet another comment that got rendered into the Twilight Zone for some unfathomable reason. It damned well should be out in the open.
Nanny Booboo fails again.
STILL!
Yet trolls go unbothered.
(One in particular who calls himself Christ. Gee, isn't he afraid of what his savior will do to him for that?)
I think his name is supposed to mean free in Christ. But he messed that up like he messes up understanding reality.
Yep. Didn't take too much effort to figure out what he was getting at with his nym. 🙂
A human moderator would know by now that the "/s" tag is implicit in Holytape posts.
And wouldn't it be nice to have a HUMAN moderator ... or maybe even more than one!!!
Typical conservative behavior, find a disempowered group of people and tell everyone, "Those people are why bad things happen!"
Does that mean I am doing something wrong when I talk with my co-workes borned in the middle east? And even worse, I gave them some of my grape leaves. They talked about making dolmes and I said "Hey, I got hundreds of grape leaves in my garden. You want some?".
Aiding and abetting gastro terrorism.
I know. Dolmes and garlic is gastro terrorism, or making friends. How can I do that, not knowing what kind of religion they follow?
Every generation of conservatives falls for the same old lies, and they wonder why we think they're stupid.
