Closet case. Or a ped who hasn't been caught yet.

Sko Hayes's avatar

I mean, LOOK AT THE GUY.

NOGODZ20's avatar

Bet he has a Grindr app.

Joe King's avatar

He will probably try to claim he was using it to "identify the sinners" or some other nonsense. Until his hookup shows with video proof.

NOGODZ20's avatar

And if it doesn't, then I'm willing to bet his search history is overflowing with CSA content.

Joe King's avatar

Unfortunately, the appropriate law enforcement agencies that should be checking are beholden to the pedo-in-chief.

Airlane1979's avatar

"the pedo-in-chief"? Are you referring to the rapist, mass-murderer, Zionist, enemy of the working class Donald Trump who, so far as I am aware, has not shown he is sexually attracted to prepubescent children or assaulted any?

Airlane1979's avatar

Oh really? You can tell just by looking at a photo of someone. Are you in the police, perhaps? That's exactly what they do.

Mark Carpenter's avatar

Or "witnessing to the gay HEEEEEEEEEEEathen"!

Maltnothops's avatar

I hate judging by looks but, yeah, that was my very first thought.

Airlane1979's avatar

Are you claiming that you can identify criminals by looking at them?

Sko Hayes's avatar

Not criminals, closeted gay men.

Airlane1979's avatar

You're not really helping yourself there.

Sko Hayes's avatar

Honey, I have been around gay men and women and drag queens and drag princesses since the 1980s.

People who are closeted tend to be the biggest haters.

Len Koz's avatar

Happy Pride Month!

Daniel Rotter's avatar

Even if neither is the case, he still deserves to be criticized.

Troublesh00ter's avatar

Indeed. Talk about: "What comes out of a person is what defiles them!" or so said the J-guy. MacCormack is a prima-facie example!

Eric's avatar

I agree with this. The ones who protest the loudest are typically trying to deflect.

Airlane1979's avatar

I very much doubt you can provide evidence for that claim, any more than Creationists can back up their nonsense.

I've learned that ya gotta move fast around here. We all tend to be on the same page. :)

Troublesh00ter's avatar

It would seem as though we have a homophobic jerk running for a State House seat in Connecticut. I suppose MacCormack thinks that he can tap into some kind of anti-LGBTQ+ backlash in The Constitution State. As blue as Connecticut has historically been, my suspicion is that MacCormack is pissing into the wind.

What say we get out the vote this November and send this bigot packing!

Joe King's avatar

Hurricane season on the east coast is not the time to piss into the wind.

Projection. Biological reality is that gay people exist, intersex people exist, and transgender people exist. He is prioritizing his own feelings over reality.

There's the problem. An ignorant bigot kept ignorant and bigoted by his ignorant, bigoted parents. Who were likely also kept ignorant and bigoted by ignorant and bigoted parents.

Indoctrination is one hell of a drug.

Claudia's avatar

Quote "Biological reality is that gay people exist, intersex people exist, and transgender people exist."

This.

I wish someone would ask him whether he's ever met a gay person.

Or as a somewhat biblical version - given that Jesus taught that you should be kind to prostitutes and customs officers, does that not mean that you should be kind to gay people?

Or the freedom version (given that the Republicans have been proclaiming themselves the party of freedom) - what gives you the right to interfere in the actions of adult and consenting people?

Maltnothops's avatar

Damnit Hemant! I took the dare and watched the video. How could you do that to my sensitive ears!?!

You know his mommy told him he was the best singer ever and encouraged him to make a gospel album. Holey smokes that was awful.

jmax's avatar

I checked out his campaign website. Under Accomplishments, right after Eagle Scout and Published Author, is Gospel Singer 🤣

I lasted exactly 19 seconds.

I need a drink now (it's still a bit early though)

NOGODZ20's avatar

"God-given rights," Mackie? You obviously haven't read your bible. Your holy spectre is a brute dictator who demands unquestioning obedience.

NOGODZ20's avatar

That's different! Because...reasons!

oraxx's avatar

It looks like this guy has been training to be an incel from birth. I don’t know him, and have no desire to but he sure strikes me as an over-compensating closet case. Hating other people is vastly easier than putting together policy positions the voting public might actually support.

NOGODZ20's avatar

JM is blind as to just who is corrupting families. That's his ever-corrupt xtian clergy. The police blotters are full of high collared predators.

Joe King's avatar

His bigotry makes him think "corrupted families" are any families that don't fit the teeny tiny box his indoctrinators told him to force them into.

larry parker's avatar

"natural order of marriage"... "God-given rights".

He hasn't read his bible, has he.

They don't "need" to read it because they already know it says whatever they want it to say.

"Mr. MacCormack is entitled to his personal opinions, but those opinions are not representative of the Connecticut Republican Party."

Yes, yes they are. From the PussyGrabber in chief all the way down to the sewer this creepazoid crawled out of. This is what you gladly accepted, what you desired. Now own it or STFU.

I've mentioned all the political commercials being played around here. The last cycle during the news showed Chuck Grey, Reid Rasner, Frank Chapman, and Reid Rasner. All their ads focus on the fact that they're Trump Republicans. I am a bit amused by Reid's ad which states he will get men out of women's locker rooms. If I recall, that's one of the things Trump bragged about.

Daniel Rotter's avatar

Bragged about being in a women's locker room when the women hadn't finished dressing, to be precise (not an accusation, Trump's own recounting of what happened).

Well! An antigay bigot, in love with the male godhead and terrified of gay people. I can’t begin to imagine what’s in his browsing history.

But this is the Takeaway: “Connecticut Republican Party issued a formal condemnation of him, saying MacCormack “crossed a line that should never be crossed by anyone seeking public office.”

Maybe I’m just cynical here, but what I see is a loophole you could drive a very large fundamentalist church bus through. Hemant has more or less hinted at it. What they said was not a condemnation of bigotry, hate, or stupidity, whether Hiding behind religious belief or admitted for what it is. This is religious bigotry, and nothing else. If he said the same thing about Mormons, jews, or Catholics, you can bet they would be on it like a cheap suit on a televangelist.

But they didn’t.

This is what they think: Cross the line all you wish, but don’t embarrass us. Never say the quiet part which we’re all thinking out loud.

I would say that they’re having a contest over who actually exhibits the worst “values”.

In my book, McCormick wins. He at least is being honest.

Troublesh00ter's avatar

Honesty, in THIS case, is liable to get him the BOOT! 🥾

Kay-El's avatar

It filled my heart with glee that the GOP finds this ass an embarrassment enough to try to get someone else in who will siphon votes away from said ass. I won’t take Hemant’s dare because reading the comments from those who did…. Well, forewarned is forearmed. Thanks guys, I appreciate it!

"the Transgender and LGBT movement that has for too long corrupted our families, undermined parental authority, and eroded the foundational values of our society. I'm going to go with 3 biblical cubits squared.
