I keep wondering if the aggression latter-day Talibangelicals are showing is because they are hemorrhaging believers or if it is part of the overall aggression of the reichwing political movement? Likely, it is a little of both. 'Could be a positive sign, I have noticed there are more cars, not many, but more - in the parking lots of the mainline denominations on Sunday morning than the Evilgelicals now.
I think it's a bit of both as well, plus one other factor: they're SCARED. They see their traction diminishing, their arguments failing to hold water in the face of the internet, and they're terrified that their scam is finally crumbling.

Then we have a social media post that appears to share the information that you've been told to leave the event claiming 'God is about to move!' which notably appears to take place during the time allotted for striking the camp. First of all, it's clear at that point that the real goal here was to earn points with the Christian community not to bring people closer to your Jesus. Second, why are you filming anything when you should be busy striking camp and getting ready to leave? In light of that, the claim that "𝑇𝑒𝑎𝑟𝑑𝑜𝑤𝑛 𝑤𝑎𝑠 𝑑𝑎𝑛𝑔𝑒𝑟𝑜𝑢𝑠. The festival has a serious, detailed, specific policy regarding filming and photography on-site that all attendees are expected to both be aware of and adhere to while they are at the festival. As a ticketed event, this is NOT a public space by any means, and that means that when you purchase your tickets you understand and agree to abide by the rules set forth by the venue even if you don't like or agree with them. Failure to do so is your own responsibility, since the event staff then has to deal with whatever fallout your violations may cause.
TL;DR: Seems to me that your problems with Burning Man are your own fault at best, and you're not being honest about who you are and what the plan was for attendance, Shift the Atmosphere.
Although I went a very long time ago, I remember it being damn near impossible to get kicked out. Typically, those who broke rules like littering, peeing on the playa, or generally being a d**k were held accountable by the community around them first. I can only imagine the number of complaints that were made about these folks before someone with authority needed to intervene. No means no 😂.

Most likely a lie. He probably assumed consent because "I came up to them to talk, I had a camera, and they never said stop filming!" That's their whole approach: assume consent until emphatically told no. There was also probably the assumption that since it was in an open space, it was public with no expectation of privacy, regardless of the rules set forth by the organizers. These street preacher types need to learn the difference between public and private.
For these missionaries consent is implicit. If you don't want to be filmed or touched you have to explicitely opt-out. I'm afraid they think the same about consent for sex.

I've been using the term: "recording" as it comes to creating video and/or audio records of an event. The advent of pure digital recording, without the need for moving media, has made "taping" or "filming" not quite obsolete, but certainly less generally practiced.

I attended Burning Man circa 2005. A ticket was $250 and arrived in the mail in the form of a single piece of paper with a man on it. Without knowing anything further, I flew to Reno and then hitchhiked to the Black Rock City. Incredible journey! If you break the rules, you are out. I stopped going in 2011. It’s now just a playground for the wealthy and the Instagram crowd. You couldn’t even get a signal back then and you were cut off from society for 10 days.

While the post that quote is from later notes the approaching storm, it certainly seems like no planning went into leaving in a safe, effective, timely fashion that would be expected at Burning Man.
The festival has a serious, detailed, specific policy regarding filming and photography on-site that all attendees are expected to both be aware of and adhere to while they are at the festival. (https://burningman.org/news/press-media/press-rights-responsibilities/) This policy has clearly been developed for the protection of regular attendees, staff, and those who choose to bring photography/video equipment; naturally one should expect Burning Man to take it very seriously when a given individual or group fails to follow the policy set forth. As a ticketed event, this is NOT a public space by any means, and that means that when you purchase your tickets you understand and agree to abide by the rules set forth by the venue even if you don't like or agree with them. Failure to do so is your own responsibility, since the event staff then has to deal with whatever fallout your violations may cause.
TL;DR: Seems to me that your problems with Burning Man are your own fault at best, and you're not being honest about who you are and what the plan was for attendance, Shift the Atmosphere.

Although I went a very long time ago, I remember it being damn near impossible to get kicked out. Typically, those who broke rules like littering, peeing on the playa, or generally being a d**k were held accountable by the community around them first. I can only imagine the number of complaints that were made about these folks before someone with authority needed to intervene. No means no 😂.
Considering some of the issues I've seen Christians have with consent, I'm not really all that surprised they're having problems with the concept.

Most likely a lie. He probably assumed consent because "I came up to them to talk, I had a camera, and they never said stop filming!" That's their whole approach: assume consent until emphatically told no. There was also probably the assumption that since it was in an open space, it was public with no expectation of privacy, regardless of the rules set forth by the organizers. These street preacher types need to learn the difference between public and private.
For these missionaries consent is implicit. If you don't want to be filmed or touched you have to explicitely opt-out. I'm afraid they think the same about consent for sex.

Joe... it is interesting that we still use the terms 𝑓𝑖𝑙𝑚𝑖𝑛𝑔 and taping. Those are really antiquated terms left over from my youth (ouch that hurt to say). Such was the level of technology.
Technology moves on; language follows only fitfully. We still refer to "dialing" a phone, even tho I haven't seen a phone with a rotary dial this century.
Sometimes a little goosing can occur, tho. For example, hardly anybody these days sees "ICE" and thinks "internal combustion engine".

I've been using the term: "recording" as it comes to creating video and/or audio records of an event. The advent of pure digital recording, without the need for moving media, has made "taping" or "filming" not quite obsolete, but certainly less generally practiced.
Film and magnetic tape still have their place, though. Ask anyone who has seen something like The Odyssey in IMAX.

I attended Burning Man circa 2005. A ticket was $250 and arrived in the mail in the form of a single piece of paper with a man on it. Without knowing anything further, I flew to Reno and then hitchhiked to the Black Rock City. Incredible journey! If you break the rules, you are out. Why do Christians and the morbidly rich equally ruin everything that is good.
I stopped going in 2011. It’s now just a playground for the wealthy and the Instagram crowd. You couldn’t even get a signal back then and you were cut off from society for 10 days.
Yeah, it’s too bad. I went 2005 and then again in 2009. I remember in 2005 hurricane Katrina happened during, but no one knew because there were no signals. Everyone was donating their food and clothing on the way out. Great memories ✨
