I don’t see this guy going anywhere, especially in California. The underlying delusion of the ‘seven pillars’ crowd is the assumption the American people will just passively submit to them once they gain control of these things. No one outside the religious right is calling for theocracy, because on the whole, people aren’t that stupid. If you want to see what genuine persecution looks like . . . hand power to the preachers.
We can always use the 900 years of the Dark Ages as an example, too. If not for this anti-science and anti-reason period of time, we could be as much as 300+ years more advanced than we currently are.
He's going to siphon off alot of the delusional Republican votes from the "mainstream" ones. There are still alot of Republicans in pockets in California, especially outside urban areas.
Yes it is! It is a thin and blurry line from talking (praying) to your imaginary friend; to your imaginary friend telling you (voices in their head) that a person or a group of people are evil (demons, Satan, etc) and must be destroyed. The rest of us have no way of knowing when that Christian fuckwit will cross that that very thin line!
Just once, I’d like to ask one of these ‘holy men’ - in front of an audience- if anyone else ever hears their god speaking to them? Flight to Religion is a common feature of mental health crises… but with these guys I suspect that flight to grift is just as common.
Typical goddamm jesusfucker, they think the rules don’t apply to them only to others! You know if a Democrat did this, this fuckwit would be singing a different tune.
The Christian fascist should go somewhere a make their own religious colony, I hear that the Bikini Atoll is available or the area around Chernobyl is a good place to settle. I sure they can just pray the radiation to go away or something like that!
We might be able to negotiate with France for a set of islands in the Southern Ocean between Madagascar and Antarctica.
I think the Christian fundamentalists and the White, American Christian Nationalists would feel right at home, there -- cold, inhospitable and judgmental, just the place for the White, American Christian Nationalists to face their cold, inhospitable and judgmental god!
Carrots, turnips, onions, spinach and mustard will grow there.
If anyone ever questioned how the Christo-fascists would act when they’ve been encouraged and protected from the top, this is it! They have revealed themselves and we are taking notes for the history books.
I had a jesusfucker tell me that I am a smart ass, I answer him: “YES, MY ASS IS SMART; IN FACT MY LEFT ASS CHEEK IS SMARTER THAN YOU!” He didn’t appreciate my answer, but I really don’t care what a right wing jesusfuckers think. I know that they hate me (an atheist) for just existing! So the jesusfuckers can go fuck their imaginary dead jeezyboy’s ass!
Yes, that's what I thought. He woke, maybe too much cheese for supper, as my mum would say, maybe a scary TV drama before bed, could be he woke from a deep sleep with a full bladder....or too much of the wacky-baccy before bed....and now, with insomnia, got all excited to use the time to frame this for his rubes, his sheeple. Or as my gran would have responded 'Who dropped him on his head when he was a baby?' He should work with the FEMA leader who recently said he teleported. It'd be great if they both could get whooshed away in a spaceship far from Earth, far from where they can grift and inflict harm and their fantasies on their country.
So, a few things: First, any candidate who's running for office because his invisible friend told him to, is unqualified out of the gate. [Also, anyone ever notice that this invisible friend always tells these goobers to do exactly what they wanted to do in the first place? Weird how that works out, eh?].
Second, any candidate running for office who doesn't want voters to know where his money comes from or what conflicts of interest his finances pose, is unqualified out of the gate.
Third, christian dominionism violates all of our First Amendment rights.
I think the authorities should take a look. The more blatant and in your face that person’s Christianity is, the more likely that they have a lot of skeletons in their closet (usually the kind of skeletons that the police and the secular authorities need to deal with ).
"The most boring and the most dangerous people are those self-righteous people who would have you believe, they have no skeletons in their closets. In fact, they have no closets".
I used to work as third-tier technical support for a large publishing company. If a problem with software or hardware came to me, and first and second tier weren't able to solve the problem; and I wasn't able to solve the problem or come up with a workaround, THEN the problem went to the engineers at Apple, Microsoft, Adobe, or Dell.
I've kept up my technical skills, post-retirement, and will work on people's computers because I enjoy doing so. I DREAD viral infections on the computers of evangelical Christians and fundamentalists: almost inevitably, they contracted a computer virus visiting a porn site. I'm gay, and I'm hard to shock; but I've seen stuff on these guys' computers that would give you a curly permanent!
*THE ABSOLUTE WORST* was when I was in The Villages, Florida for about six months helping my father through rehab following his second stroke. I could not believe the computer sites these seniors were visiting; but worse, they decided since I was an ELCA deacon, that mean I was their "confessor"! I rapidly concluded that The Villages was Florida's answer to Peyton Place! The Villages is where seniors go to become alcoholic, use drugs, swing, cheat on their partners, get STIs and give them to their partners, and report on their neighbors because the neighbors painted their house the wrong shade of blue, or their grass is 1/4" over the limit.
It has finally reached the point where I do not work on the computers of evangelical Christians, fundamentalists and Christian Nationalists. *I DON'T WANT TO KNOW* what they have on their computers.
Oh but you left out the golf car chop shop/meth lab.
"The Villages, a hilariously-large retirement community in Florida, is the fastest-growing “city” in the country—with more than 117,000 people, 48 golf courses, geriatric sex (with a resulting high rate of STDs), and absolutely no children (they’re only permitted to visit for up to 30 days a year). Residents primarily drive golf carts, with some luxury models costing up to $25,000; others were tricked out last year in support of Donald Trump. In 2005 the corporate-owned and fake-historied community set the world record for longest golf cart parade—perhaps surpassed by only the 100-meter dash as the world’s most prestigious record—with 3,321 carts.
But earlier this week in The Villages, there was news of another kind: A drug bust, followed by the discovery of a possible golf cart chop shop. Sumter County sheriff’s deputies and a SWAT team raided one Villager’s house Wednesday morning, after complaints from residents; there, they arrested five people on drug charges—including sale of methamphetamine and possession of heroin. One man was charged with the real-sounding crime of “unlawful use of a two way communication device.”
It would seem as though Ché Ahn is a more than day late, if not a dollar short. Actually three days late to appear on the primary ballot [Oh, DARN!]. I"m sure he'll start a write-in campaign, but how much actual traction he'll get on that is questionable at best.
And then there are all these claims about how his god insists that he run. What I wouldn't give to have a reporter ask him: "Mr. Ahn, you claim that your god told you to run. What proof do you have of that?" Of course he'll talk about a personal relationship he has with The Almighty™ and the gut-wrenching conversation he had on the topic, but proof? Nope, sorry, ain't got none. Which reminds me:
Knowing White, American Christian Nationalists, since they infest both sides of my extended family, what makes Ché Ahn think that White, American Christian Nationalists will have ANYTHING to do with a pastor who is KOREAN?
White, American Christian Nationalists are hinging their hopes that Israel will recover all its Old Testament lands so that the Battle of Armageddon will occur and Jesus will return. White, American Christian Nationalists believe that Jews are not going to Heaven because they rejected Jesus -- which is also why, when you scratch beneath their surface, most of the White, American Christian Nationalists also believe the Jews actually "deserved" the Holocaust -- as punishment for the crime of Deicide.
The White, American Christian Nationalists I know strongly support white superiority over other races; believe that the non-white races are Biblically obligated to serve as slaves for White, American Christian Nationalists; and that the United States is the "New Israel" which God selected to be His Elect. They believe that Donald Trump is truly the Returned Messiah.
If, according to White, American Christian Nationalists, even the Jews aren't going to Heaven, what makes the pastor believe that a KOREAN would be going to Heaven?
Spot on! White, straight, Christian fascists think that it is their birthright to rule the world and everyone else is to be used, abused, killed on a whim or sport (without consequence). That the rest of us are to submit or obey otherwise die!
I have had Christian Nationalists tell me, as a gay person, that when they come to power they intend to eradicate people like me, and they expect me to die WILLINGLY!
Nazis, Christians, Muslims, Stalinists, Francisco Franco, Augustín Pinochet, the Ayatollah Khomeini, Mao Zedong, Pol Pot, Kim Il-sung, Kim Jong-il, Kim Jong-un, Idi Amin, Nicolae Ceaușescu, Slobodan Milošević, Vladimir Putin, Viktor Orban...
AND WE JUST KEEP SHOWING UP, GENERATION AFTER GENERATION!!!
I agree with Jim Carrey with gun control, however if we are fighting against the Christian fascists I afraid that a gun is going to be need to fight the MAGA should it become a conflict!
You'd think that his god would've reminded him to do his fucking homework, if he wanted him to run for Governor. I mean, an omniscient god would've known about the deadline, right? Seems a little odd that the guiding hand of all creation would be so forgetful of the details when he told his holy man to toss his hat in the ring.
I would like to see some Dems drop out of the race so the D vote is not fractured across so many candidates. If the polling is accurate, the top 2 could both be Republicans.
IIRC, money given to a political candidate's campaign fund UNTIL the candidate officially declares candidacy is essentially 'free' money, in the sense that the candidate does not have to spend it on campaigning and can do anything they want with it. Including keep it. Only after you've signed the paperwork do laws kick in about what you can do with political donations.
Sarah Palin did that the second time around; said she was running, never filed the paperwork, kept the donations (and used them to fund a family vacation, IIRC). This guy could be doing the same thing.
I don’t see this guy going anywhere, especially in California. The underlying delusion of the ‘seven pillars’ crowd is the assumption the American people will just passively submit to them once they gain control of these things. No let’s not, and just pretend that we did!
We already know how that works out. Just read the history of the witchcraft hysteria of 17th century New England.
Once the preachers get started killing, they will be hard to stop.
And they ALWAYS get started.....
Goldwater warned us.
We can always use the 900 years of the Dark Ages as an example, too. If not for this anti-science and anti-reason period of time, we could be as much as 300+ years more advanced than we currently are.

It's amazing how much further advanced the Middle and Far East became while Europe was languishing in darkness. Thanks for the link!
Do da phrase, "Salem Witch Trials" strike a familiar note?
"More weight!" The words of an unlikely hero and victim of those trials, Giles Corey.
If she weighs the same as a duck...
He's going to siphon off alot of the delusional Republican votes from the "mainstream" ones. There are still alot of Republicans in pockets in California, especially outside urban areas.
We can only hope!
So, it's true; Christianity is not only better than Islam, it's exactly two pillars better.
"the American people" In North and South America.
One hell of a CRACKPOT COUNTRY.
I feel so very sorry for the children of these idiots.

He's hearing voices and having conversations with a fictional being, so he's already off to a bad start.
Religion excuses a lot of mental illness.
Religious IS a mental illness.

But the truly scary ones are those who use other people’s delusions against them!
Especially when they start out with one foot over the line.
🎶 One foot over the line sweet Jesus,
One foot over the line. 🎶

Yessir!

Like Oral Roberts saying god would call him "home" if he didn't get millions. I said great! nobody send him a dime and make him prove it.
Didn’t he see an 800 foot tall Jeebus too?
Like St Francis who also heard voices in his head, sounds like schizophrenia to me.
An election denier not following the rules to be on the ballot? Why am I not surprised?
Typical goddamm jesusfucker, they think the rules don’t apply to them only to others! You know if a Democrat did this, this fuckwit would be singing a different tune.

That lot keeps their turnips between their ears.
I'm all for that! Let them see if prayer really works... It doesn't.
But don’t let them go to islands owned by penguins.
"They’re eating the penguins, they’re eating the albatros !"

If anyone ever questioned how the Christo-fascists would act when they’ve been encouraged and protected from the top, this is it! They have revealed themselves and we are taking notes for the history books.
Books that if they ever get any power will be banned and burned so that the truth will be hidden.
They do NOT want to come for my library!
You come for MY library, you better bring BODYBAGS, I will fight tooth and claw to protect it.
Hell, yeah! You bet yer ass!
Three strikes, buddy, you're out.
Another Christian who thinks their faith means they get to ignore the laws.
Ignore them or claim that they're above them. Thinking about that, any bets as to what Ahn's browser history looks like?

Their skeletons are usually in the back yard.
And anyone who makes them follow the law like everybody else is clearly discriminating against christians. 🙄
"Now you can't make this up."
Christians have been doing just that for 2000 years.
Can be said for any religion no matter the length of time they have existed.

Just like his (false) idol Trump, Ahn is all in on the grift. That’s the “sign” he was given: “Go and grift some more”
"Then I said, ‘Lord, you know my weakness."
He's a Trumpanzee. I'm pretty sure his weakness is underage.
His weakness is shared by so many of his fellow xtians. Especially among the clergy and/or Republicans.

Uh-huh ... SUUUUUUUUURE it shouldn't 😝
"Will he be honest..."
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! You made a funny.
He idolizes Trump. Last I heard it, idolatry was a no-no for xtians.
But it's a requirement for MAGA Xtians, since they worship Trump, not Jesus.
I would like to see some Dems drop out of the race so the D vote is not fractured across so many candidates. If the polling is accurate, the top 2 could both be Republicans.
It occurs to me that it would be helpful for Dems for this guy to be on the primary ballot. Split the R vote 3 ways instead of just 2.
I think it's just a simple grift.
IIRC, money given to a political candidate's campaign fund UNTIL the candidate officially declares candidacy is essentially 'free' money, in the sense that the candidate does not have to spend it on campaigning and can do anything they want with it. Yet, the jesusfuckers claim atheists have no morals or ethics! Christian fascists = goddamm fucking hypocrites!
How many times have we said it? Every accusation is a confession!
Way to many times, that I have lost count!
I just consider it their SOP at this point.
I think it's NOT QUITE axiomatic ... but it ain't far off!
