Attendance at Ark Encounter had a downturn this past January after nearly a year of increased attendance. Not only are the numbers lower than they were a year ago, they’re significantly lower than they were before the pandemic. (Which is bad news for the local economy.)

Thanks to a public record request by local paleontologist Dan Phelps, we now have the numbers for January. You can read more background about how it’s calculated here.
