“Sky Daddy” is not a new term to most of us atheists, but hearing it used in a real-life confrontation with an aggressive Christian gives it a whole new life.
The people of Rapid City, South Dakota desperately want to die by their own stupidity. The city council just voted 9-1 to loosen COVID restrictions to what amounts to Choose Your Own Adventure status for each business. Churches in British Columbia are pulling the “religious freedom” card after a rash of fines were handed out for violating large group bans. Just like their neighbors to the south, Canada is dealing with record COVID hospitalizations and deaths—but science denial knows no borders and congregations gonna congregate.
