I don't even know where to begin with a person like this, and it isn't as if he is an isolated case. He is a prime example of why theocracy is the worst form of government ever created. Like so many other evangelical fools, he assumes the whole country would passively submit to being ruled by people like him.

I am reminded of Dave Chappell's routine as the racist KKK, blind, black man (who believed himself to be white). When he finds out he's actually black, he divorces his white wife because she married a black man.

Sometimes parody just writes itself.

Maltnothops's avatar

I've never seen that. Must go looking!

Joe King's avatar

He may not care about passive submission to rule by people like him. He might be getting off on fantasies of killing everyone who is different.

Am I the ONLY person in America fearing that IF newly-elected Dems...

1) Don't get elected, because the election doesn't happen (GOP interference)...

2) Dems get elected, GOP refuses to make it official...

3) Newly-elected Dems just can't act quickly enough under ANY circumstances, and "little people" begin dying too quickly to even dig holes for us as we die. (Bigger holes?)

DYING from lost health care, DYING because of closed rural hospitals, DYING from lost food assistance, DYING because Trump is monkeying with soc sec, often the only source of income for seniors, DYING because critical medications are being withheld (opioids), DYING because everything costs too much & the US economy has been devastated for generations by Trump-greed.

But instead of nice orderly mass graves (like w/Covid), these mass deaths will ultimately be due to POVERTY, so not one extra penny will be spent to restore even a speck of dignity to countless innocent victims of Trump's "Gimme...or DIE!" Program.

There may quickly be millions of us....if anyone even bothers to count.

SERIOUSLY, am I the ONLY person in America with such a dark vision of our possible future?

(BTW, I'm not "married" to this....)

Len Koz's avatar

You are not the only one. These dark days will not end on November 4, 2026. We have a long struggle ahead.

foofaraw & Chiquita(ARF!)'s avatar

I hope the day doesn't come when we bid each other farewell through Substack.

But I know better....

I flip the hypocritical bigot Partridge the bird.

He does have his head in the sand.

Sounds like animal cruelty. I would just give him the middle finger. *smiles*

"How To Make America Christian Again."

It never was, doofus. We are a secular government. We were never were an xtian theocracy. The only time xtians held sway was about a century before we became an independent country. And our 7 key founders wanted no part of religious rule.

"What am I missing?"

A functioning brain?

Troublesh00ter's avatar

Also missing functional mirror neurons and any semblance of compassion.

foofaraw & Chiquita(ARF!)'s avatar

OBVIOUSLY,

The first step by any cult leader worth their (road) salt is an effective "brain cell filter".

Anyone able to drink the Koo-Laid without instructions needs, at MINIMUM, another cycle.

Daniel Rotter's avatar

I will kindly ask you not to insult the doofuses of the world by labeling Dale Putzridge one of them. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

Maybe he's thinking of the CSA or colonial days.

When the Usha Vances (Serena Joys) of the world finally get theirs, I won’t shed a single tear for them.

I saw this random white guy from high school recently at a funeral. He was married to a Mexican woman. Both MAGA. Every time he said something racist or sexist, she excused his behavior. She felt the need to tell me she came to America the “legal way” 🤣. She kept trying to make me her friend. Oh hell no, b***h! No Thank you.

NOGODZ20's avatar

She and hubby are in for a shock when she gets deported because someone didn’t like her skin tone.

Leopards always dine well on MAGAts.

Troublesh00ter's avatar

Which brings a point: How does Partridge react when his lady gets picked up by ICE???

NOGODZ20's avatar

That's what I mean. People like this never think it's going to happen to them until it does. And then they are somehow shocked by it.

Linda's avatar

I think I heard they moved to Italy or something now. Figures they got scared of their own hateful rhetoric and peaced out. Cowards.

foofaraw & Chiquita(ARF!)'s avatar

There's something very incriminating about a cult leader who escapes their own followers to move somewhere NICER!

They never escape to....Bakersfield, for example.

foofaraw & Chiquita(ARF!)'s avatar

Color me "Dem-blue, w/anti-fascist overtones" impressed!!!

Thank you, Len. That's special!

I mostly just focus on maintaining my beingness.

Not always easy.....

Apologist and enabler. NOT a winning combination.

NOGODZ20's avatar

Won't allow his daughter to marry a black man? Got news for him. Once his daughter turns 18, she no longer needs his permission to marry. That's his own state's law.

Linda's avatar

But she’s just an extension of him, not an human being with agency?

Dale, go buy a piece of jungle in Guyana and take your followers with you. You'll be happier and we'll be happier. Win-win.

I don't think she gets that reference

Occasionally there are instances of racist white men fetishizing women of color. It wouldn't surprise me if that's what happened with Veronica's husband. He has it in his mind that "Latinas are hot blooded and will be great in bed" so sought out a (not too dark) Latina for a wife. After that, his default 1860s era racism kicks in. FWIW, when as a white kid in the early 70s, I would tan to at least as dark as Veronica Partridge.

Black men have lower IQs? I bet he got that from the (thoroughly debunked) book 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘉𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘊𝘶𝘳𝘷𝘦. Or he at least heard the premise and his confirmation bias kicked in to validate his racist hate.

Troublesh00ter's avatar

My gal and I just enjoyed a talk by Neil deGrasse Tyson last night. As just about always, he was entertaining, funny, pithy, informative, and damned inspiring. I seem to recall, he's also black.

And way smarter than most people I know, Partridge emphatically included.

foofaraw & Chiquita(ARF!)'s avatar

Just once, for the sake of the now mostly nebulous "American soul", I want a reporter in the Offal Office to ask one simple question of The Killer Wail;

"Whenever you talk about an "American president of superior intelligence", do you mean Clinton.....or OBAMA!"

......please?........

Troublesh00ter's avatar

And challenge him to answer the question without devolving into ad hominem. That'll be some trick!

foofaraw & Chiquita(ARF!)'s avatar

I know I'd exchange a moment of international love and universal appreciation for any post-Trump career I might choose.

No, wait....

Troublesh00ter's avatar

"What am I missing?"

How about the fact that you're a racist, a bigot, and a hypocrite?

ericc's avatar

Judging individuals based on a group average measurement is practically the definition of discrimination. And it's just incredibly stupid. Imagine this idiot saying he refuses to let his daughter marry a 6' tall hispanic guy because hispanic males average height is 5' 6".

Maltnothops's avatar

“If a black man with an average IQ of say 82 marries a white woman with an average IQ of 105,…”

In addition to all of this guy’s other intellectual defects, he doesn’t understand maths. The 82 and the 105 in his example are not averages. They are data points. Unless he is assuming that the black man and the white woman have each taken multiple IQ tests and those are the averages of those tests.

ericc's avatar

Pretty sure its the former (doesn't understand maths). As Hemant says, the bad-match-ignorance is coming from inside the house.

Bensnewlogin's avatar

I don’t understand but all the problem is about. This guy uses world-waking words like ethnos, IQ, average, and predictor. He clearly knows stuff and we should listen to him, as his daughter should if he marries her off. But he won’t let her marry a black man.

I wonder if he would allow his son to marry a black man?

This brings to mind the soon to be biblically divorced soon to be ex-wife of Ken Paxton. She said the other day that people should put aside the hypocrisy, corruption, biblical defiance, incompetence, adultery, fornication,, dishonesty, impeachment, lies, reviling, and slandering her soon to be biblically divorced soon to be ex-husband engages in, and vote straight Republican for the sake of the party.

You have to wonder why she would put party over morality, goodness, and decency? Given the history with her, you would think that she would pull a Mary Trump on uncle Donald, and worn decent people everywhere to avoid the soon to be biblically divorced soon to be ex-husband. That would be the best outcome. Or the worst outcome: she would simply say I’m not voting for him.

You would think.

But then, it all comes back to one inalterable fact: SHE MARRIED HIM. SHE STAYED WITH HIM DESPITE ALL THE REVELATIONS. AND NOW SHE’S GOING TO BIBLICALLY DIVORCE HIM BECAUSE THAT’S WHAT JESUS WOULD WANT.

In short, she’s no better than she ought to be. One can only conclude the same thing about the other Partridge in this PAIR tree. She married him, she listens to this, and she doesn’t think, “what have I done!”

This is Evangelical Christianity as it has displayed itself for the last 50 years. They are beyond help or hope. If White Jesus actually existed, white Jesus would be embarrassed, if the son of God could be embarrassed.

Kay-El's avatar

I saw that ad featuring Angela Paxton. Similar to all the GOP who blasted Trump in the 2016 election then became his willing toadies. SMDH.

Tinker's avatar

Clearly a high IQ is not important to people like him because they vote for the biggest moron we've ever had for President.

NOGODZ20's avatar

High IQs are a threat to his religion.

Joe King's avatar

Basic humanity is a threat to his religion.

Tinker's avatar

I don't understand. It was my impression that people on the right loved "the uneducated". I assumed that meant that they reveled in stupid. Wouldn't someone who hates education love if their daughter married someone who was stupid too?

Joe King's avatar

He wants his daughter to marry an educated, high earning white man who has converted to his brand of Christianity to bring lots of cash into the family compound.

The problem is that he is mainstreaming this rancid political theology with every video, podcast, and media article. Pushing the Overton window a little farther.

And that's how what's fringe becomes mainstream in twenty years or less.

Anti-vax used to be extreme. Now it's not.

And the news media does not help with its insistence of using words like "controversial" instead of "racist as all fuck".

I hate what my country has already become. I'm afraid what this country will be in ten or even twenty years.

Because ultimately the thing conservatives have ALWAYS been trying to conserve is the old hierarchy that the suffrage movement and the Civil Rights movement challenged and started to change. And they have media empires and billions of dollars to keep trying to undo the progress of the last 60 years.

And to many people still insist that they're not REALLY trying to undo it and they'll keep doing so until suddenly Brown and Loving are overturned.

Linda's avatar

Someone pointed out recently that Christians have never once cared about sounding or coming off as hypocritical (throughout all of history), so we shouldn’t expect them to care anymore now. Just wanted to put that out there ;)
